I saw them twice at the Garage when they were NYC Peech Boys. I was so upset when they were there as Man Friday, didn't know that was them, missed them doing this and JUMP!! Can't seem to find that song?
@skfj67 In the studio as he was a very much part of the group. Live performances he was the remixer on stage which was and is still unheard of. I real treat to witness..
this tune been played every were in algeria i mean algeirs the capital back in late 80s this is classic tune, but not this version better than this larry version with sharp beat and long intro and people whistling at the begenin, totally different
This is so classic. You always remember a song from the old days that got played in the clubs, but may never have cracked into radio, or onto the billboard charts. This is one of those and thanks to sites like YouTube it is being kept alive thank God. Appreciate you posting this!
@Greg07623 the best underground music rarely made it to the radio. That why it's considered underground. That's where the term "House" came from. You can only hear it," in House" ( meaning the club) not on the radio. that's where the controversial term "House" originated, n NYC, early eighties- contrary to many "Johnny come latelies" in Chicago who claim that House originated there.
@pluggedin2u Thank you. The masses never knew underground, never understood that this "house" thing originated in NYC. NYC underground records were all over Chicago record stores, mix shows and clubs well before they "invented" the sound.
@hardcorehouse Yes Frankie Knuckles who was heavily influenced by David Mancuso, Larry Levan, Francois K , Joe Clausell and others, was responsible for igniting that House movement in Chigago. No disrespect to Chicago, they ran with it and took it to another level.
Classic Forever!!!
