I think the more you criticize another community, you will give it power to exist. Accept it as a reality and do what you think is best. So, the more you criticize the English education system, you'll give it strength. Better than that is restart the Indian Gurukul system. May the best man win! But then criticizing another country or system might be easier than actually taking action.

Let me add some excitement to your conversation. My mother is of Scottish background and my dad is (was) Punjabi. In the Scottish side of my family, I can vouch for it even today, that they might have gained a lot of Siksha in how to make money and lead a successful life. What they have no clue of is the Vidhya of how to lead happy amicable lives.They are still fighting over land, money and really don'y trust each other. Almost all their families have faced divorce.

@DeshbhaktBharatiya Yes I agree Our Encient surgeon acharya Sushrut taught Cataract surgery and other sopihsticated surgeries and they have collected in his Sushrut Samhita. The technology and instruments are exactly same as modern textbooks in surgery.

@Rohan980 I have studied both of them during my medical curriculum. The problem is that the science did not grow due to n number of reasons including attck of foreigners including British in India.Meanwhile modern medicine became advanced and its the mainstream of medicine today.

Theres no english at all in Japan, China, France, Sweden, Germany, Hungry, Spain, Russia etc, I can count more than 100 country where there is no english, all the education through out Phd. is their mother-tongue. I know it because I live in USA and whenever we talk the people who comes from these country they don't understand the english, we have to use the body language but it doesn't mean that they are not smart.

kya faltu bakwas hai . MBBS, CA and MD are very demanding streams. Is gadheko kaha itni samaz hai. Even these degrees are tought in our language it will take the same time. Another thing, he hates the English countries that are one of the best in the world. While its acceptable that Macauly abolished Indian educations system indirectly and introduced English language in India, but sying that convent schools as orphan centers cause Europe was poor and all. uttely bullshit. @Nirajjdave I am not a lawyer of anybody aur nahi mene tumhari tarah apne ankhonpe patti bandh rakhi hai. Sach kitna bhikadva ho sach hota hai. Europe and western countries such as the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand did not prosper in a single day.

But what about Australia , New Zealand and Canada ? They did not rule anybody neither they took part in any war. Why they are far more advanced than us? For every abuse, the British are responsible, not the Indians, who were simply temporarily overtaken technologically. However, was Macaulay so bad? He clearly thought that teaching English would be both cheaper for the government, and more useful for Indians. The alternative was the continued subsidy of Sanskrit and Persian, rather than the teaching of India's vernacular languages.
