  • I like the Carnatic touch of Mrudunga, Taal. That's make it sound different!

    Didn't like the graphic though!

  • dont know why hridayanath ji changes some words in some(or i should say quite a lot!!) songs . . . Smt. ShantAbaii SheLke had written this like mAge ubhA chakrapANI pudhre ubhA chakrapANI . . urrrggghhh :-//

  • My name is Mangesh... Hahaha... Awesome, at least ONE song for me... ;)

  • Asha Tai Ultimate,Jevdhae Sunder lyrics, tya hooni atishya god tumcha awaj.

  • Aashaji has the voice, Riyaz and sweetness in her songs which move our hearts and soul. Proud to be an India where so many talented musicians and singers have contributed to our traditions.

  • Excellent song by Asha Tai.

  • EXECELLENT Song sung by Asha Bhonsaleji. Thnaks for the upload. I WAS JUST DYING TO HEAR THE SONG. I HEARD IT SO MANY TIMES DURING MY CHILDHOOD AROUND 50 YEARS BACK..........

  • rbsavant very well describe the song

    neelrudra

please can you upload call the songs of this movies (Mahananda)

  • Many thanks for your translation. It adds charm to my musical understanding. I think we share the universal message carried by this great Bhajan in sound. Tears do not flow without meaning. You are right about the minimal use of instruments. The 'svars' and 'shrutis' are equally minimally employed, heightening the effect of restraint and simplicity

  • Can somebody translate this wonderful Bhajan into English

  • Dear @mahmudbaig, The mukhda of the bhajan, "Majhya kade dev maza.....", means that, "My lord is looking at me (watching over me)..., the lord is standing behind me and He is standing in front of me as well". Rest of it is the detailed description of the Lord Shiva, of his appearance and his nature. Amazingly beautiful composition. Just look at the minimal use of musical instruments... amazing!!! U r right it really brings tears to the eyes.

  • I do not care what it all means, but is it not enough that this perfect composition in in raga Eman representing a beautiful combination of Taal, Swaras and Shrutis, brings tears into your eyes. Listening again and again, the effect is the same; it does not diminish and you would like to listen it yet once more. A profound composition indeed.

  • lovely song. thanks for uploading it.

  • What a song !!!!

Hats off to R. Asha Ji

  • such a beautifullllllllllll song.thanks for the person who took the trouble to upload it.

  • This song is about shiva. Maage ubha mangesh pudhe ubha mangesh. (lietrallly Shiva is infront and back) , Mangesh(Shiva) is everywhere. Then there is description of Shiva, Then the poet says god (Mangesh, Shiva) is looking at me . He is carrying ganga on his head along with Parvati's son Ganesh). This yogi of many births is going through endless happiness , miseries , all worldly feelings. Here there is analogy between individual soul( atma) and god (shiva, mangesh, paramatma).

  • @SinkarSanjay Could u kindly post the original Marathi words.? This is such a beautiful Bhajan. Aashaji has done a superb job!!!

  • .Simply mind blowing master peice .songs rendition like this really proves that ashatai is far more versatile singer than her elder sister. As a great fan of her voice I am disapointed that ashatai is only appreciated for her cabra songs . and all other catagory songs appreciation goes to her sister.
