Why she is so lucky? You should imagine that this concert was in 1988 in East germany, the border was still closed. That girl knew the western world just by watching west german television which was strictly forbidden for east german people. This concert was one of the first concerts allowed by the east german goverment. A few weeks before that concert, she would be put in jail if she just listen to a music record from Bruce Springsteen. I think now you can imagine, why she is so happy...

Not quite right. By the mid-60s, the GDR government gave up on trying to prevent their citizens from watching West German television. Western rock records were easily available in the GDR in reissues on the East German Amiga label. GDR bands imitated Western styles. Performances by western groups were occasionally organized, but the Springsteen event would have been a big deal.
