how do you know what the other deck is doing?

can both decks open the doors at the same time?

could you get traped if the other deck is at a floor and your deck wasn't and someone in the other deck held the doors open and didn't let the elevator move?

Right now, I'm seeing a typo in the Popular Mechanics article, stating 38+MPH
