  • What's the fuzz?

It's a mac pro.. It's a PC built to last! working horse.. unmatched quality.. They are fully upgradeable to gaming rigs if you want to.. (I can assure you kids that a mac pro with double 3ghz xeon processors and a nvidia 580 gtx is a kick ass gaming rig) So if you don't like the MAC design, then stick to your super awesome plastic alienware computers with tribal-stickers.. They are less expensive, and more suitable for a gamer, but wouldnt last 6 months in an serious office!

  • This is not mac book pro yu can slearly hear the fans loud its a Pc :D

  • @razanet16 Cameras tend to pick up a lot of white noise and such. It is the mac pro. Probably not as audible to human ears.

  • Meh, I could run Crysis at 1024x768 with med/high mixed settings. With only 2 nvidia geforce 210s and 2gb of RAM, intel pentium 4 dual core 2.80ghz. Isn't 1024x768 hd by minimal standards?

  • @namikodo No, that's not HD. HD starts at 1280x720p.

  • Christ, are those your Mac's fans making that sound?

  • LOL AT ALL THE MAD PC FANBOYS THUMBS DOWNING THIS VIDEO!

  • @10lettername

    Why lol at them?!

LOL at this! The sound of the HD is not acceptable.. I read that many users already bought another HD for their MAC pro.

Also, "PC Fanboys" may laugh at this, as it is only a resolution of 1280x720. Now thats really outdated, at least for games...

  • @darthlopez

Do you happen to know the price of this? Thats right, more than your house.

  • what core is this

  • SEE?? Mac can do anything ! FUCK PC

  • @darthlopez dude this is a horrible machine

  • 720p+0x anti-aliasing=all settings on very high.

    Got it.

  • WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT ANNOYING CLICKING SOUND ?

  • @fernandesbrandon1

    the camera's auto-focus.

  • @fernandesbrandon1

    HardDrive hahahahaha :D

  • Pop goes the graphics chip....

  • lol dem fans are LOUD

  • i wonder how BAD the fps were wen you were playin

  • hey i can do that with my 200$ PC. Crysis is easy to max settings. But good like with anti aliasing and resolution

  • @donttazemebro3434 You have NOOOO idea...

  • @Terminator5618 Oh, I don't? Explain.

  • 0x anti alising....ok that mean with aliasing it sucks !

  • @ChocoboGrinder or he prefers the old-fashion 0x AA

  • im sticking to a PC(for gaming). its cheap, and can easy'ly be upgradable. upgrading it is cheap to(as long as u dont buy the expensive parts). just make sure u watch ur PO#N on a different computer.

  • @xy274 yea only use pc for gaming but everything else i trust my mac

  • @ilovmc You're just like me :)

  • do you think it would work on my macbook pro with crossover or bootcamp?

  • @danielparr1991 - It does... but I can get it with Mid Range only I can take it to high but not Recommend

  • @danielparr1991 - Then again... Your better off just geting a PC. Least tahts what am going to do then keep my Macbook Pro as a labtop. (or Get a mac pro. put in two 512MB video cards.

  • will This work on a mac with a 9400m card?

  • dude your not getting it stop bothering me stop bumping old videos stop being a fucking newfag jesus i dont give a fuck about apples shitty hardware

  • @mouseroot shitty hardware? i thought their hardware was the same as PC hardware..way to slam urself

  • @liljoedaprince1414

holy shit kid that comment was like years old who the fuck goes back through the comments to find one that was posted sooo far back..@tacniturne dude plz remove my comments this shit is getting annoying also pc > mac dont like it go elsewhere

  • @mouseroot that comment is 1 month old and all you have to do is go over one page of comments to page 2 to see it...good job

  • @liljoedaprince1414 ...dude serously stop fucking bothering me i dont give a flying fuck alright just fucking leave me alone i fucking dont get you kids these days i mean fuck really jesus dude just gtfo or actually you should pull out your ethernet cord and hang yourself with it. yea gg nigger

  • @mouseroot lol u have anger issues but dont tell me to leave you alone. ill do what i want. and comment/reply all i want

  • @liljoedaprince1414

thats cool i guess not liek you got nothing better todo thats cool mabe we can be something like friends who knows go for it but really i dont care yur not worth my time

  • ohh vien otro video mierda como este "presumen de su super computadora pero graban videos de su puta" la proxima graba con fraps si es que es compatible con MAC >:D

  • i can't understand anything in this video. next time use screen capture program not a cheap video camera

  • mac users do that so you can't see that the graphics and resolution are all set to minimum.

  • When I buy Crysis and use it on my mac, I use a screen recorder.

  • Mac Pro is fully upgradable. However, it is a very expensive piece of hardware.

  • yes, and every cent is worth it.

  • @JDhillon24 aint fully upgradable but you can change parts that are specially desinged for the computer that are rare and crappy and you have to have a certified mac technician do it for you from what i've heard but I don't know if that is true.

  • @JDhillon24 mac is scam :)

  • @Misho5z how, may i ask?

  • it would look better with a better card....oh wait your using a mac im sorry my bad XD

  • mac pros have a full tower case and you can put any device you want mr.bad!!!!!!

    even a full Ati 5970.

  • @agnostosxxxx No you cant mate :P well unless you install Windows on it, since all the Graphics card is not supported by Mac os

Ive only seen a GTX 260 that whas remade for Mac os, for almost double the price as a normal GTX 260 :p

  • @agnostosxxxx AINT TRUE. Half the things aren't even capable of going in a mac since they are desinged for a pc.. I dare you to put a NVIDIA graphcis card and see what happens. Or a amd cpu. Fail.

  • rotflmao xD

  • @mouseroot you can change the video card on a mac u fucking ignorant

  • @MrFlypy how am i supposed to know i dont own a mac i own a pc like 95% of everyone

and i heard somewhere that you couldnt maybe a couple years back you couldnt but point being crysis sucks and macs do too

  • @mouseroot okay I apologize for beign rude, but you can only change the video card on a mac pro, otherwise u are screwed...

  • @mouseroot your point? he has it on high setting and in case none of the pc fanboys new this, the mac pro can have a upgraded graphics card just like a normal pc.

  • @wolferean1production ...nigga that was 2 months ago learn to read the timestamp

and i really dont care and i am a pc fanboy because its better

  • @mouseroot who cars if it was two mounths ago, you could upfrade the mac pro graphics card for over 7 years

  • Comment removed

  • @mouseroot

um it a mac pro, you can upgrade anything on that computer, in fact it is the easiest computer to upgade

  • there are barely anny games out that are harder to run then crysis.

maby gta4 but that is becouse its a bad port and hogs cpu power

  • @RALVEN2000

what game is more graphic intensive then crysis?

btw , mac os have way better screen capture apps then windows , but this is on windows not osx

  • Crysis is 2 years old.

  • crysis is the most intensive game and it aint 4 years old

  • @skunkkey666 u mean 3 years old came out in 2007

  • @TheDragonlord103 now its 3 years but there still hasnt been a game as intensive, and crysis 2 is being toned technihally to a verysignificant degree, cause its been jointly developed for 360 and ps3,thats why they are seting it in new york.Crysis the last big pc exclusive.i have top spec pc ,360 ps3 and i play mostly on 360 due to xbox live been sublime ,i know its infested with wankers but once you get a few people on flist your ok

  • @skunkkey666 yes correct but apb all points bulletin for the pc is going to surpass crysis

  • There's nothing more intensive than Crysis.

Crysis Warhead is so far the only game that looks better, but it's also runs better.

  • @RALVEN2000

Crysis maxed out is still heavier than COD:MW2 maxed out for example...

  • @D4NG3R03S of course it is cod mw 2 is dx 9 and its not dynamic,ie every explosion will be identiucal in cod like a movie, but crysis even same explosion is different everytime cause its dynamic,it really is very impressive and way ahead of its time, everyone is still happy with dx9 thats why dx10 was such a failure and i dont see point in dx 11 whemn majority of new gaMES are dx9,

  • @skunkkey666

Actually, the reason why DX10/10.1 failed was because it was to hard to code on.

DX11 uses a different SDK (Software Development Kit), which is more resembling to DX9 then to 10..

  • @D4NG3R03S no thats wrong dx 9 10 and 11 all use excat same language, even the xbox360 uses dx 9 ,original xbox used dx8,at 1 time it was going to be called the dxbox,ps3 is hard to program because it uses a new and completely different os,dx10 failed because pc gaming is in decline,im no fanboy i have all the latest systems except wii and ds

  • @D4NG3R03S

I am not talking about it being C or C++ ect.. I am talking about the actual coding. Which (for DX10) was a lot harder.

Next to that, DX10 is more unstable than DX9. But it features some more options..

I also have the latest system's an a decent computer with an HD5770. Got everything besides the wii and PSP.

  • gaming on a mac rofl!

  • LISTEN TO THOSE FANS <=D

  • Yo get a I mac or other wise your pro will explode from all that graphical heating

  • !??!?

  • whats that annoying sound on the left speaker?!?

  • what is the point of installing windows on a mac go buy a pc if ur gona game dude

  • because some people like me use computers for real things rather than playing games

  • why pc's are shit

osx is good to have aswell

you cant emulate osx on windows well

    your an idiot

  • you dont have to ,you can dual boot mac osx on a a windowss pc,macs and pcs are the same only real diff is os

  • @palenegroe Can't spell I see. Nice Idiot.

  • Lawl... macs don't use DirectX because it's a microsoft program that uses C++

  • Liam, there were so many things wrong with that comment. Do you need me to point each one out? Here's a list:

    1. He's running Bootcam, which allows Windows to be installed natively on Apple hardware.

    2. Guess what, native Windows supports Direct X, as does the graphics card, an nVidia 8800gt.

    3. Even without Boot camp or Windows, Macintosh OS is able to compile and run C++, just not as a Windows executable, for lack of Windows API's and Libraries.

    Nice work, Youtube expert.

  • Q_Q some more!

  • That wasn't really qqing... I was mainly laughing the fact that he thinks C++ is a Windows-only language, or that the language a program is compiled in has any effect on the type of program that comes out. I think he was thinking of .exe's, though.

  • please prove this is a mac pro that he's playing on >:(

  • thats looks like shit......be honest about the settings....that isnt even medium

  • It's probably the capture program.

  • thats not a capture program is just a normal camera

  • You kidding?

  • hes recording with a camera jackass

  • You run highest settings on 1280x720

oh you must be so proud!!!

    phail

  • No antialiasing? therefore it isnt near highest settings remove your video title NOW

  • anti anti aliasing doesnt count with hi-res monitors you dont need it

  • His monitor isn't high res its only 720p.

    So he needs it

Also anti aliasing still has effect if its 1200p or 1080p.

  • yeah, but mines about 870p or something. its 1440x900 and i haldly ever use anti aliasing because it doesnt really make a difference.

  • False it makes a massive difference on my 1440x900 monitor in basically every game it looks awful otherwise due to all the blades of grass having lots of pixelation.

    Antialiasing helps all monitors

  • hmm, i play portal at 16q msaa anti aliasing and i dont see the difference without it, only makes a major difference on lower resolutions

  • its a difference mostly on distant objects and lines that are not parallel/ perpendicular to screen.

  • LOL so true my old Mac pro can run it at 720P, its not an achievement.

  • Playing a game on a mac pro disgraces the mac pro, it was built for better things, like to sit on your desk to show people how rich you are. That you are so trendy and rich, that you had 4k to throw away on a computer that's sold at probably over a 50% profit margin. And that apple (pomaceous fruit?) on the side is soo sexy.

  • Actualy anyone can asume for themeselves for waht any computer wus built for.they all have one thing in comon they turn on

  • you need a better GFX card. get the GTX 285 or ATI 4870

  • FUCK!!! PS3 RULEZZZZ!!!!

  • wow, im surprised you havent already caught fire with the pure INTENSITY of that flame...

  • well lols heres the thing u can play crysis on a 800$ computer at very high settings XDso ha beat u all

  • yeah like DX11 windows 7 is fucking bad

  • if big macs are so cool why does everyone gots to use bootcamp an all that shit?

  • Not the best reality though. XD

Whatever, I don't wanna pick a fight with Mac fanboys, I'm very happy with my PC and have no reason to convert.

  • what was the cost of the computer?

  • yeah true dat im lookin at gettin a macbook pro for college now so i can run windows and stuff and all mah apps also =]

  • macs suck

  • No, you're just ignorant.

Stop hating and give a valid reason.

  • lol i got over my bias i guess becasue xXtortionXx told me some stuff i didnt know about macs.

  • Yay for not hating! :)

  • They're overpriced and underpowered, for one. All you're paying for it the brand name. I built my Core i7 gaming rig for $1200, and a similarly configured Mac Pro is $2700.

  • Yeah, and I'm also paying for the OS and software that go with the brand name. And I don't prioritize gaming on my computer, no one should. It's a tool, not a toy.

  • Your comparison is broken. The Mac Pro has a Xeon. Xeons cost more than i7's for a reason. Here's a REAL comparison.

    Mac Pro

Two 2.93GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 6GB (6x1GB) RAM, *Mac Pro RAID Card*, 640GB 7200-rpm Serial ATA 3Gb/s, NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512MB, One 18x SuperDrive

    $6,599

    HP workstation

    2 Xeon X5570 2.93ghz, 2GB (2x1GB) DDR3-1333 ECC , 500GB SATA 7200, 16X DVD+-RW , Quadro NVS 295 256MB

    $6,703!!

You need to learn more about the difference between overpriced and expensive.

  • Sorry, I didn't realize that they had Xeons at the time. Why do Xeons cost so much more than i7, by the way? At the die level, aren't they the same as the Core i7? Are you just paying more for the multi processor support?

  • "Why do Xeons cost so much more than i7"

-Well, Xeons have more features and they have twice the QPI.

    For instance, a 3.2 or 3.33 i7 extreme has 1X 6.4 qpi, while a gainstown xeon from 2.66 up

to 3.2 has 2X 6.4 qpi. So there's a bandwidth advantage there. But it is expensive.

"At the die level, aren't they the same as the Core i7?"

-Not really. Similar. Same core technology, but more features. Don't get me wrong, Apple

should have offered an i7 Mac Pro quad on the low end. But didn't.

  • Comment removed

  • Ah. I see. How much of a difference does that bandwidth make, though? I see the advantage in normal server applications, but in anything else would it be that affected?

"You need to learn more about the difference between overpriced and expensive. " I think I can tell the difference quite well.

  • The QPI is the replacement for FSB. it is pretty much the door that your data can go through.

" I think I can tell the difference quite well."

the fact is that apple has been pretty up front with the fact that the Mac pro having Xeons under the hood.

the performance of an i7 is irrelevant in a price debate. The fact is that Xeons cost more than i7's. So, you can't call a xeon workstation 'overpriced' in comparison to a i7 homebrew. instead, you should learn WHY it is expensive.

  • what's the point in spending more on a processor that already has i7 preformance? the core i7 extreme already costs $1,000

  • First off, the Nehalem Xeons (Like the ones used in the Mac Pro) have more features and twice the QPI of ANY comparable core i7. Xeons can also be mounted in multi-processor configs, while i7's can't.

    That's why they cost more.

  • No, you are paying for a system that comes with OSX, which as we all know, is WAYYYYY better than vista or xp, or even 7 on many levels. You also pay for better customer service, and better integration for applications on another note.

And, just to let you in on some info, that mac pro comes with a xeon i7, which is server grade. Much faster than your standard i7. And for your info, mac pros are actually CHEAPER than their PC counterparts in terms of hardware AND software.

  • OSX being better than Windows is an opinion, not a fact. I prefer Windows 7 over OSX, but you prefer OSX over Windows. As for customer service, as I built all of my computers, I know that OCZ, Cooler Master, Western Digital, etc all have really good customer service.

As a test of price, I took a base Mac Pro, added on a 4870 512 and a wireless mouse, and built a similar system (same ram, cpus, etc) with Windows Server 2008 for $3100. The Mac Pro costs $3510. PM me for the full specs.

  • As you say, it is my own opinion. However, it is an opinion that many people share due to bad experiences with windows. Like you, I was once a windows user, and I recently switched.

As much as I respect your choice of computers, I beg to differ. I would appreciate if you provided specs. Of course, from a home built system, it will be cheaper, about $500 cheaper in fact.

In retail choices however, the pros are surpassingly cheaper for comparable hardware.

  • As for customer service, having to call multiple places for different components is not necessarily "good" customer service. I have had horrible experiences, and snotty responses from western digital for their HDs.

The majoy selling point for apple computers is the service where, you can turn in your entire computer to a single location, regardless of whether you have bought applecare or not, and get it services. Sure, there are PC outlets, but they lack in easy, one time deal serivce.

  • If you built a "comparable" homebrew and only saved $400 then your argument is defeated already.

    Mac Pro

Two 2.93GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 6GB (6x1GB), *Mac Pro RAID Card*, 1Tb 7200 SATA HD, NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512MB, One 18x SuperDrive, AppleCare

    $6,948.

    HP

    2x Xeon X5570 2.93, GB (6x1GB) DDR3-1333, 1Tb SATA 7200, Quadro NVS 295 256MB , 16X DVD+-RW, IEEE 1394b FireWire, 3 year warranty

    $7,642

    Seriously.

  • 1) You have an HP's specs there... it's not a whitebox.

    2) I just configured a dual-Xeon system with nearly the same specifications on Newegg (it has a GeForce GTX 295 and a Sony 24X DVD drive and Win 7) for $4345.91. You can tack on another $1000 for software and it's still $1600 less than the Mac. For the purpose of this comparison, a RAID card is irrelevant because there is only one HDD, so if you got rid of that it would bring down the cost of the Mac substantially.

  • 1) I used an HP to show how much MORE a comparable OEM costs. See, there's this thing known as PROFIT. If you expect for a company to sell a computer at build cost, there is no hope for you. Comparing the price of OEM and homebrew is plain retarded.

    2) WHICH XEONS? Saying 'Dual Xeon' means squat. the processors in my build cost $1,439.99 each.

    3) I added the RAID card because the HP comes with SAS capabilities built in. I was being extremely FAIR considering you don't need one to do RAID.

  • 1) THIS WHOLE THING IS ABOUT WHITEBOX COMPUTERS. I'm not comparing it to an OEM. The reason I pointed out that it was an HP is because you were talking about homebrews before.

    2) They're Xeon X5570s, the same ones that you used.

    3) Fair enough, a Supermicro RAID card is another $400-ish and that can do SAS.

  • 1) Comparing OEM to Whitebox is stupid. End of story. Unless the Mac Pro is a homebrew, which it isn't, your price comparison is invalid. The key point of an OEM is so that you don't have to put the thing together yourself and you only have to call ONE co if you need service. It costs less to build a house on your own TOO. How many people do that? Is it a good idea? No and NO. Show me an oem that costs less at spec.

    2) That's nice, just keep in mind that saying Xeon by itself doesn't mean much.

  • 2) I said just Xeon because I noted previously that the systems were similar.

Comparing building a house to building a computer is stupid. Building a computer takes an hour or two, a house is much longer. In any case, I'm done with this argument.

  • 1) Saying the systems were 'similar' means very little. I've seen people say the SAME THING of PC's with Dempsey's vs ones with Woodcrests

    2) NO it isn't wrong to make that comparison if you know to look at it proportionately. Truth be told, a house can be built in a relatively short amount of time considering that they can last up to 100 years or MORE. Fine, how's this?

It costs me MUCH less to make a hamburger myself than it does to simply buy a Big Mac. What you have to say now??

  • also a bit more on this Homebrew vs Mac Pro nonesense. These arguments are used nearly exclusively against Macs, but there are PLENTY of OEM pc manufacturers that sell machines similar to the Mac Pro for MUCH MORE, yet you homebrew guys don't say crap at all about them. So I don't want to hear that argument. You're comparing two different things.

it cost me more to buy just about any manufactured item than it would if I put it together. Does that mean I should make my own clothes and crap? nope

  • is THAT the best you can do?

  • thats better then what you'll ever do microsot bitch

  • Uh, no, start living in reality Mac fanboys. : P

  • is that your mac pros fans speeding up i hear?

  • how you scope with one button on mouse?

  • Apple mice have one button but they know where you press. Press the right it is right click, left and it is left click etc. And there are screen recorders for the Mac, and the next OS is having one built in.

  • lol no screen recorder for mac yet. sux for u...

  • Actually, there is. Snapz Pro X.

  • iShowu

    Screenflow

    Screenflick

  • 512mb ram on mac is more than 1 gb on pc. and i think the diffrence is even bigger.

  • For anyone who says mac's suck for gaming you are wrong they can run everything windows can easily

  • wrong yet again

  • Are you retarded? Try comparing Sony's AW series, which has the exact same specs as a Macbook Pro. Those laptops run on the highest specs and get better performance than this. And guess what? Macbook Pros cost 1000 dollars more!

  • What the hell is all that noise coming from the left channel?

  • games looks choppy. why aren't you playing VERY HIGH at the monitor's native resolution? Games will look pixelated if you stretch 1280x720 game play on a 1680x050, 1920x1200, or 2560x1600 monitors.

have the courage and play crysis VERY HIGH on your monitor's native resolution

bench, i want to see official FPS figures.

  • i have a macbook and just recently downloaded the crysis demo and even on low its still even slow enough that the loading screen for the first level took 20+ minutes to get through. HELP

  • get a pc mac suck

  • For gaming? Yes, but in general OSX is far superior to any Windows flavor out there.

  • Mac's are good for gaming aswell, you just have to buy the right one. Crysis can easily be run on some on the high end Macs.

  • Youre playing crysis in Mac??? OO

  • GAMING IS ALL ABOUT THE GPU...

ASUS W90 Series W90Vp-X1 on newegg for $2,200.

    Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 2.8GHz

    18.4" 1920x1080 resolution

    6gb DDR2 800mhz

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4870 X2

    320GB 7200rpm harddrive

this laptop might not be pretty like a mac but it has a spectacular GPU. and read reviews from newegg. People play games with max quality at 1920x1080 resolution.

4870 x2 you can crysis at 1920x1080 VERY HIGH at native resolution.

why buy a mac to attempt this silliness?

  • lets see your mac pwn my pc...

1680x1050 no AA, all High (i use winXP, vista is a joke)

    now lets use custom shaders/shadow...

    r_ssao_radius 0

    r_ssao 1

    r_ssao_darkening 1.5

    q_renderer 3

    q_shadershadow 3

    GO FOR IT

  • ur a fuckin geek hahahaha get a life u fuckin zeek

  • Oh sh%^ I'm a zeek! What will I ever do?!

  • Lmao, i suppose you could give in a get a life. Coming from the person that's on youtube doing the same thing as everyone else haha. Gardner you cabbage! He's only trying to help people..

  • English?

  • Am I English? I am indeed

  • " i suppose you could give in a get a life"

Okay, I realize you speak English but I don't understand the other foreign languages

  • i wasn't offending you in my original comment btw, I was actually defending you lol. I just have a funny way of stating things :) Only understand English two mate

  • o.0 Okay okay sorry lol

  • r dual xeon's worst in crysis than say a q9650? I thinking i7 would kill dual Xeon's since the i7 has 4 cores with hyper threading on each, giving it 8 processing threads.
