I forgot how ridiculous the protaganist is in this game. It's not just that he's a walking engine of destruction capable of bringing down helicopters, field guns, etc. with a mere handgun.

No, it's that he's literally TOO COOL FOR WORDS. He communicates entirely through glaring and raising his eyebrows, and yet EVERYONE in-game knows who he is, what he intends, and how he intends to do it. That's not a silent protaganist, folks--that's sheer intimidation factor. Richard is freakin' badass.

they used to have this in the arcade behind the Moon Light Fun Pub in Tenerife.. i was only about 8 or 10 when i started playing this and could hardly do stage 1. but everytime we went to Tenerife i played this every night and a few years later i can easily beat it..

its kinda strange coz as a kid, i would watch an older kid complete the game. and when i was older, i'd have a little kid watching me play it.. =D

Sherudo Garo and his hired mercenary army led by Wild Dog are staging a coup against a democratic government by taking the leader of said government's daughter hostage. The situation unto itself is highly volatile and would only get worse if say that government or any outside entity were try to take the young girl back by force like the VSSE is doing. And to add to this the base in question is on an island.
