@riddickvonsayian The only way a Sith would have a lightsaber that is not red is if they are undercover or are rogue from the true way of their teachings.

@PhantomSith , so what your saying is, is that it doesnt make them any less a sith, but just not a traditional sith. & that they may not follow the whole sith code, but use it as a guide line and he would have his own rules & ideas of what sith should be. i bet you if he trained someone they would be confused and crazy.

@riddickvonsayian Something like that. I've written Sith Apprentices who've used varying colors for their blade. Namely because their Master either chose to hide them or work them undercover. If you're a Sith Master or Lord --they always carry red ... at least from what I know of them in that's galaxy's last few hundred years.

@riddickvonsayian They only have red ones because Ilum, the planet where Jedi get the crystals for the lightsabers, is hidden from the Sith. So they have to make their own synthetic crystals. By doing this, those stones get that particular red color.

@riddickvonsayian ...and purple... Sith only cares for power and think jedi has no power so why would they wan't to use a Jedi weapon. They´re so proud of their wisdom they make their own weaponry as well a Jedi make their own, and doesn't need to use anyone else's, not even their peers or students... And yes, a Sith will remain a Sith while using a Jedi saber. Anakin had his jedi lightsaber even though he was already a Sith lord.

@eiviten , lol. yeah i mean like, cause i cant see a billion sith a wanting a red saber. me if i was a sith id follow the code but id have to have a sith custom style looking saber, but with a odd color, like orange or something other then red, 1) because im more of a leader type like the emperor then i am a follower like vader. 2) id take crystals from dead jedi that i ended cause they were strong fighters in the force & its like keeping trophies.

@riddickvonsayian Now i finally see your point... iIt´s like saying, Why use a lightsaber when I can use a bow with light arrows.. You just take whatever crystal color you like, i mean if you want to use a crystal that an old jedi code follower might use, just take it, it doesn´t matter what lightsaber color you have but what you do with it; like the force itself, you use it for good or all the way around. You always had that choice.

@eiviten , yeah thats exactly what i was saying. although i dont see alot of them doing it, if i were in their shoes, code be damned, i'd take the best parts ( since they say lens & crystals can make your beam better in your saber) and use them to augment my saber. it wouldnt matter if i was a sith with a green or blue saber, or a jedi with a red saber. but ive never really seen anyone do that yet.

@riddickvonsayian The thing here is, as I said before, Sith woudn't like to use a jedi symbol, like a blue, purple or green lightsaber, they're too proud for that (not all the sith were jedi before they turn to the dark side)... By the way, Anakin Skywalker used a red lightsaber during the clone wars, but he didn't enjoy that too much, as you can see it in his face... or did he?

@riddickvonsayian you can do that in KOTOR 1 and 2: be a sith with any color that you want, even green and blue if you really wanted (but it just looks to "happy" for a sith XD )

@eiviten Ilum is NOT the only planet to get lightsaber crystals. Dantooine (KOTOR) has them too, among other world. Sith make their crystals to practice their control over the force.

The Synthetic Crystals Are Not always Red. Luke makes a crystal for his lightsaber at Kenobi's old hunt on Tatooine between Ep5 and 6, the crystal was green. It's in Shadows of the Empire.
