Absolutely loved it. You all are the only other folks that I can recall doing that song other than Mother Mabelle Carter. If memory serves me correct, I purchased a Carter Family LP album back in either the early 70's or late 60's with that song on it. Your versions are a bit different, but heck..... that's just part of the Folk process! Great Job!

Actually it was written for the Spanish-American war in 1898, no tthe Civil WAr, adn recorded by the Carter Faimily. Nice rendidtion. I love your music.

@porchgreg Thanks for your message and comments! My research shows a publishing date of 1865. The Carter Family changed the original melody on their recording and that is the one one we still hear today.
