Whenever I see people argue it makes me sad. I almost see the two versions as different songs, same lyrics but different connotations because of the emotions put behind their voices when the respective singers sing it their way.

Ya know, I go to a lotta sites that tout Justin Vernon (Bon Iver), but I am like TripNDazy (below), the falsetto is just too damn delicate. Pretty much I don't like them. OR (Sheff) is a yelper, for real, but it works for him. This might be my famorite song by OR. Anthemic.

All I can say is when I heard Justin Vernon's (of Bon Iver) cover, my heart stopped. Esp. with the last line "with every single cell of me I'm gonna make you mean the words you sigh". Wow. Just didn't that effect from the original. But "hats off" to them for writing it. No reference intended.
