Some great examples of why the Veyron engine is so good. It's way over engineered for the amount of HP it's making. Some of these cars are making super high HP but only till they blow up.

@nitrorcfreak100 i currently have a 2010 ZR1 and it is crazy fast and has superb handling i really dont think there is a better stock street legal car in the same price range stock i have drag raced it against a couple of 2011 ford mustangs and left them in the dust although the one race i did with a viper was close he blew his engine so i cant say who won so i highly recommend the ZR1 if you have questions feel free to leave a msg on my channel

Twin turbo 1000 hp is tens maybe hundred milion dollars engine and real producers have hard time to make such engines.Hepfner sound like german aspirin and eye drops, who would let them near an engine.From these cars only one wins, the stock Sallen, the rest are compromised.This is what tuning is, compromise.

@A10thunderbolt231 there is not a lot to upgrade on any of the cars.Tuning is a compromise between reliability, performance and economy.It's good to slap some producers but nothing compares with reliability of stock.The Saleen is the only supersport with pedigree, altough it didn't win, it finished races the other cars don't look able to finish.Blown headgasket at third lap, wtf is that, a Honda?

@Olengher that is true there are not alot of upgrades available after disallowing water cooled brakes and nos i think all of these cars would have completed the test stock but they had to do something to keep it close to the saleen none of the cars except maybe the gallardo would have been able to stay anywhere near the saleen and the blown head gasket on the dodge is a high probability that it was driver error

@driftx2 but you also have to remember that these are not stock cars with such high powered engines they are extremely sensitive i have known some people with 1000+ hp engines that have to remove them after almost every time the race to inspect them most likely something melted or broke on the vette and could have happened to anyone of them so it was just bad luck im 90% sure the blown head gasket was because the driver didnt shift fast enought and over-worked it

It's not necessarily the fact that the cars themselves are not dependable, it's the tuner's. Ligenfelter always break down in their test. The Saleen may be the slowest out of those that actually finished, but it and the GT are prob the most dependable. The Saleen b/c it's stock and the GT just b/c it's so stout anyway.
