I spent all day last week riding all three of these bikes and they are seriously powerful machines. My advice to anyone who can afford it is go for it. Never accelerated so hard in my life with brilliant handling to match. That Duolever really works..
johncrosby: The depreciation factor depends on the model. My bike new cost around $15K. I bought it 4 yrs. old with just 7K on the clock and paid less than $9K. That's quite a drop in just 4 yrs. On the other hand I have a unique model only produced in '03 & '04, thus it's likely to become a collectors item.
This was an interesting comparison of the 3. Like others have mentioned there just too expensive brand new, Being this the case I bought a '03 in '07. Got a great deal. Bike had 7K on the clock, paid under 9K for it.
Couldn't disagree more, because you are buying excellent after sales service, free dedicated unlimited recovery service that even covers you if you drop your bike, have a flat etc.. This gives you peace of mind. They are cheap to own if you factor in the very low depreciation and thus great resale value. And it keeps the brand exclusive, so not every punk kid with a few thousand dollars can buy one. If you're poor or cheap then please buy japanese.

i am a punk, a kid, and poor, that is why, i stole two bmw´s from Suckers like you, one is k 1200 s from 2005, and the other is a brand new gs 1200 from 2009, but i like better japanese, got a xr 600 1991, and a yamaha 1300 xjr 2001, but these two i buy it.
i sincerily hope that you crash, one of this days, and a punk kid, and poor! like me, let you die on the road.
