@greymoose1000 Incorrect. Penn State was ranked #1 and Alabama #2 in the AP poll. After the game, the AP awarded Alabama the national championship, and the UPI awarded USC the national championship. You can argue USC deserved to be national champions, but this game was not for "second place."

@greymoose1000 Once again I told you this that USC and Alabama split the title even though Alabama suffered from a 10 point loss to the Trojans, but USC had suffered a loss to Arizona State finishing the season ranked #3. Alabama #2 won against Penn St. ranked #1. AP voted Bama, and UPI voted USC. By the way its UA not UAT thats why UAB added the B for Birmingham.

The MOOSE was present that day and the Trojans and their coach took sympathy on BEAR and his boys since it could have been much worse; just like when the Trojans taught BAMMER about "REAL FOOTBALL' in 1970 when once again they destroyed Bear and his Boys at Legion Field by a score of 42-21. @WillHear432 Always love to hear from the UAT Crimson TURD contingent about what to expect when placed on probation since they should be experts considering 1) UAT is the most heavily penalized football program by the NCAA in that long and illustrious history; 2) UAT tried to buy the services of Memphis recruit Albert Means with $250,000. UAT came close as reported by ESPN and CBS to receiving the death penalty after the Antonio Langham thing in 1993. Good job UAT!!!

I'm a Penn State fan, but unfortunately, I'm pessimistic this year, so you're not going to hear wild predictions. I will say this, you will NOT score over 35 UNLESS we turn the ball over constantly like we did in 2006 against Notre Dame, and you won't shut us out either, the last team to shut us out was Michigan in 2001 when we had the worst QB ever. Those are the only things I'm going to say in defense of Penn State. I think that Alabama wins this one 29-5, leading to a 4-8 (1-7) PSU season.

@SpeedyNeutrino43 I just hope that I'm wrong about the 4-8 season for Penn State part, because that would mean five months of absolute misery, including losses to teams like Illinois, Northwestern, and Minnesota. But I do expect much of the game to be a good game, but I see Penn State turning the ball over in the second half enough to help Alabama pull away.

@Johnrl21 I'm amazed at how close I got it to being right, to be honest. Penn State at times surprised me with moving the ball between the 20s, then he reminded everyone that he's still a true freshman, but PSU should have a promising 2011 season. I'm also surprised at how I seemed to know that Penn State would turn the ball over a lot. Good luck for the 2010 season, although you won't need it, the Tide should roll over just about everyone else on the schedule, especially an overrated Florida.
