  • love this mix

  • putting the DUB back into Dubstep

  • I agree with you, it sucks that we are now injected with Brostep now, I guess genres evolve but Brostep doesn't have that musical quality or emotion that Dubstep has. Therefore Dubstep is far superior in my opinion. It also sucks that now there are artists such as Skrillex making it onto mainstream Radio/TV for making emotionless Brostep/Electronica and leaving Dubstep left to rot in the dying underground scene.

  • If you can successfully mix in a burial tune, your instantly a badman.

  • I smoke dub;s to this, superb.

  • what track name is the first one you played? then mixed up with the second? need to know both :), excellent tunes

  • Another one for the ideal dubstep hall of fame! MASSIVE!

  • Love it

  • man tryed to do a uk ting and failed w,e u do dnt give up ya day job

  • this is fking garage lol not no fcking dub step lol u wak and confused

  • just sounds like garage

  • @michaelracz1991 true man

  • Whoa B Is the Fuckin Man

  • приезжай к нам, роскошный сет!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Well, if you listen carefully he's just not good on the mixing front. Great selection but technically....ooh dear.

  • Why the hate on countries? It originated in point A, DJ's spun in WORLDWIDE as an underground thing...it slowly evolved with people putting some filters on and then more and more filters were added until Brostep came into being.

Plus wasn't Rusko one of the brostep originators? Anyone care to refresh my memory where he's from? XD

  • Should this be "puting the Dub back in Dubstep"?

  • @raveakidd Well, yes but these tunes also have the 'step' element (the 2-step drums rather than half-step) but the dub is also missing from modern tunes. So technically this mix should be called putting the 'Dubstep' back in Dubstep, but that wouldn't make a lot of sense XD.

  • dubstep came from experimenting with darker 2 step garage music with allot more bass in south london... then they put dub elements in and got its name dubstep. then americans got hold of the sound

  • dubstep originated in the UK, fact! americans aint and never will be as good as the UK!

  • really like this mix but a bit confused by the title, surely you're putting the DUB back in dubstep?

  • this is good, but nothing compared to U.K americans cant keep up with uk's standards

  • @boginalog The Widdler is American, Good try tho bro,

  • REAL QUESTION HOW MUCH DUB-PLATES DO YOU OWN??

  • This is a great mix! Not to sound ignorant but I never knew early dubstep laid out it's drum beat in a different style, this is some good stuff. (learn something new everyday). Btw thanks for not posting some shitty brostep mix like everyone else out there :/

  • so chill..perfect for me to somke my purp to...

  • It looks like you were playing out in the snow.

  • If anyone tells you dubstep sucks...they've probably been listening to datsik. Send em this set to get their mind right.

  • @Gafaton i vote datsik

  • daaaaaaang...I'd say this mix deserves a BIG UP.

  • Thanks for posting this video!!!!!!!

    THIS is dubstep

  • Just subscribed, planning on listening to all your mixes in the near future and scoring some mad tracks! Keep it old school! What your mixing is way better than half of the new stuff out there!

  • DO U HAVE OWN SONGS???

  • dope

  • huh.

    i dont get it.

  • mate you got fucking sweet taste bro

    big upz

  • eargasms all over my headphones!!!

  • Comment removed

  • whoabee, your fucking awesome b. mad respects

  • haha this american dude just owned all of the uk's 'filth' djs aha

  • @timsurftim straight ahhahaha

  • @timsurftim to be honest mate all the "Filth" producers and DJs are American

  • @JagoReedJones nahh way man! theres loads! trolley snatcha, funtcase, all of the circus crew aka cookie, flux n doc p, stenchman, coki, emalkay fookin tons!

  • @timsurftim don't see how you can call Coki or Emalkay filthy to be honest, they bring the straight beats - the completely over the top dubstep or 'brostep' is coming out of raves in America but still rep for telling it straight

  • @JagoReedJones true true, but you get the drift aye

  • @JagoReedJones wait haven't you heard of Circus records? aren't they based out of UK? quit blaming everything on US. Circus was here before all the shitty US producers.

  • @timsurftim

And yet none of the tracks he's playing are from outside Europe. This guy's a good DJ sure, but I've yet to see a single American producer who's actually making original tracks that are half as good as any of these.

  • @urmumsbaps yeah agreed mate, he's got the flavour riht. there are tons of decent producers comin up and around the world. huge respect to goth trad on that note! but it is true the uk sounds is just original

  • @urmumsbaps have you heard The Widdler? grab his free album if you can find it and prepare to eat your words

  • @CKaosDub

The Widdler? Are you serious? You're comparing a run of the mill brostep producer to the likes of Burial and Kode 9?

  • @urmumsbaps Pffff Brostep?? he has like 5 brostep tracks and I feel like he does not even like that shit, do some research and find his good shit like his free album called B sides. Also I am in no way comparing him bc he has his own style, but he is an amazing american producer.

  • @timsurftim how has he owned the uk dj's LOL he said its dub step and fking garage LOOOOOOL FKING NOOBS

  • @Cocaine0nSteroids because this proper old school dubstep, not dubstep injected with dnb

  • @Cocaine0nSteroids smh... don't say noob man cluttering up good shit with shite

  • @timsurftim dont be silly YANKS merkin UK never herd so much breeze!

  • @timsurftim big up whoa b still

  • Datsik or UKF has good dubsteps

  • pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ʎɯ pǝʞɔnɟ ssɐq ǝɥʇ uɯɐp

  • This was the first dubstep mix I ever listened to, ages ago. Good good job man.

  • I really needed this. I'm starting to lose track of what Dubstep really is. "/

Will this be available on your site anytime soon?

  • you're pretty damn good man, great mix!

  • This mix is the fucking TITS.

  • I like the video effect. It puts the focus more on the music, plus it looks sick.

  • @omadzine or he just has a shitty camera hahaha

  • Great, great stuff. I've been listening to your mixes all day at work for the last month. Inspirational to say the least...

  • The art of playing music.

  • All you need is a better camera and its perfect

  • @ATypicalWinchester I think it's intentional.

  • @ATypicalWinchester i think its just a shit camera lol, but i get what ya mean

  • Way to do it right. Love your mixes keep them comin.

  • If I haven't already commented on this video, yeah - love your work Mr. B.

    Big tunes.

  • Yesss kicksss assssss!!!!

  • Yesss kicksss assssss!!!!

  • PUT MORE STUFF ON SOUNDCLOUD :] please and thank you

  • i got the first song on my channel for you guys :) sick mix also :)

  • Top mixing as always. Keep it up!

  • what dub is at the starting of this mix? its wicked.. somebody tell me....

  • @Dehboutya Burial - South London Boroughs

  • feelin this mix man. keep it goin

  • I'm positive that the pad sounds at 2:16 are from 'Gangsta' By Dillinja. I'm just saying 'cause it's a jungle tune and I think that's quite odd but nice.

  • 5:00. I like.

  • lovin it , brings back memories!

but still, i like lots of the new releases too :)

  • I like your quick mixing style.

  • the point isn't what something is defined as. the point he made this video is because a LOT of people hear something like this, and dont even know that it's dubstep because it isn't in 2/4 or 2/2 and has super heavy wobbles.

  • im pretty sure dubstep has the most arguments as a genre about what it is and isnt... so just give the fuck up

  • Nice... real dubstep. Bring it back.

  • I don't give a shit what its called. I'm 35 years old and I'm loving this. I've been a music fan all my life and with recently getting turned on to "dub step" based on the "hiphop" beats I was making, I've found out a whole bunch of gems regardless of whats its called. Now, I have no category for music. Its either good to my ears or it isn't.

  • @Beefy1Time I love you.

  • Damn you make some fking nice Mixes!! Thanks for that and keep up workin'!

  • great mix

  • Bleeeeeedin Whop!

  • Burial brings it better than anyone he gets that london sound, the drive home after clubbing, coming down the next day, it's just beautiful. Great mix btw man.

  • the two people who did thumbs down for this video must have no sense of music this was a fucking orgasm

  • This mix = Eargasm!

  • This is f$%^&*( SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • original dub.. fucking peng mix!

  • @Clungification lol 'peng' where in the uk are you dude? ive started hearing it more and more...im south east, surrey to be precise..safe

  • @irapedyourgoat south east.. essex blud! safe ting geez ;P

  • @Clungification its not "dub" learn your genres please mate x

  • @DubstepDoctors oh really.. tell that to everyone else and the DJ then ;) fool.

  • @Clungification what on earth are you saying my good man?

  • @Clungification you tod me its not dub.. it ovb is mate.. unless you think im JUST callin it 'dub' then thats a lil stupid, i ovb knw its dubstep..

  • This is wicked. I loved all this stuff. It wasn't called "Dubstep" back then. We used to call it "Breakbeat Garage" lol. I am going to download your mixes. Wicked stuff. It wasn't "Grime", but it weren't really "Garage" or "Breaks" either. It just mutated into Dubstep. Fuck knows where the tempo and pace went??? I can't get into new slo dubstep as I like something up tempo like this. Nice one for posting.

  • fucking savage mix

  • everything evolves, including music.

  • @icaresomuch123 and pokemon

  • Lovin' it bruv!!!! where get we get full mixes???

  • What is up with all these haters? This is real Dubstep right here. We need to remember our roots, not think about the new industrial type wobbles everyone uses.

  • perfect mix!

tell my name the last track!

    Прикольный сэт )

кто нибудь знает название последнего трэка ?

  • Check my profile for some fresh tunes baaaa!

  • great mix and selection

  • nice mixing! big up!

  • So what did Dubstep grow from? Garage? DnB? Jungle? Regge? Rap? combo of it all?

  • @NNofelectronicM basically yes

  • @NNofelectronicM just garage originally but stuff produced now is so diverse. some has techno influence others trance, reggae, jungle, hiphop, uk funky and all sorts

  • this what im talking about....liking it very much.

  • whoa B ... u are... a very fucking sick guy.. keep it up!

  • i need evrybodys help!!! iv been around dubstep for a good few years an i jus dont get it, my mates say iv been listenin to the wrong tunes but have never been able to play me the "right" tunes. I tend to mix breaks, electro, house, dnb garage, bmore and funk. My taste in music is more geared towards the groove of a track rather than filth and wobbles e.g i much prefer liquid dnb to jump up etc... please can ppl recommend me tracks, artists, labels and mix's either reply to this or msg me THNX!

  • @chooby3000 mount kimbie, james blake, scuba, ramadanman, martyn, 2562, appleblim, SBTRKT, Pangaea, untold, shackleton, hyetal, shortstuff, geiom, submerse, whistla, phaeleh, indigo, sully, rooflight, f, clubroot. have a listen to the mixes on my channel. most have track names. strictly no wobbles

  • @djredi2step nice one mate ill check em all out, ill check out ur mixs too

  • @chooby3000 have fun

  • Whoa-B: this is just what I was looking for. You've done us all a service (again).

  • Nice mix bro, been lookin for some of this :)

  • this isn't what dubstep "used to sound like". where's the digital mystikz, loefah or skream for example? - the pioneers of dubstep

i like the mix but some of these artists are relatively new like 2562. i love burial as well but he only came into the scene in 2006. this type of dubstep is still being produced right now it's just more underground than stuff like datsik and borgore etc.

  • @booshpower even dmz loefah and skream werent the original dubstep artists, although they did make dubstep what it is today, people like EL-B and hatcha were making the kinda 2 step style long before, a style which burial wanted to replicate

  • @EJS7708 el-b and that were dark garage. they definitely paved the way, though. people have different opinions about it so i'm not gonna argue

  • @booshpower : I guess he means Dubstep with more Garage influence.

  • @booshpower he probably means the music that still has the oldskool sound, but is coming out now, that you have to keep concetrate on that genre dubstep because its the best and realest dubstep from this time.

  • hmmjungs aus De? Bin total einsam wer hat lust zu schreibn

  • Yo Woahb. please put the song names in the description <333333333 keep up the best tunes!

  • Second tune is huge!

  • BROOOOOO. great stuff, your shuffle rockin looks a bit difff. i like it though

i only know one tut routine cause i learned it from the dance girls at my school LOL. but imo, if you keep your body still and move more of just your arms ya know? anddd the effect that you edited on there is kinda covering up alot your doing. but other then that, great:D keep it up

  • what do you mean 'used to sound like'? We still have this kind of dubstep in the local clubs. It's just that people who started listening dubstep in the past year think it's all about filth and stuff. And i think every decent dubstep dj know it's originated from 2step.

I'm not saying filthy dubstep sucks, but there is a limit. I'd never want to stand in a club where my ears get raped from dusk 'till dawn.

  • Comment removed

  • @drummerbean101 : you could always get traktor pro!

  • @senseisje Yeah maybe if you want to skip all of the basics of beat matching and actually learning to DJ the right way. I've heard way too many shitty DJ's just pick up traktor and think they can rock a club. You gotta start from the roots with decks and then move to traktor once you know how the essentials.

  • damn guyz check out itunez, net for dubstep just found this over there ;)

  • i just bought a pair of numark cdjs, and they're pretty good. no scratch function though :/ i would have bought vinyl but its so much more convenient being able to use my own music of itunes, rather than buying vinyls

  • dude you are so off the hook I ben following you for a while and its fabulouse. keep it up! MUCH LOVE FROM sANTA cRUZ cALIFORNIA

  • What is the name of the Last Track anyone!!?

  • i've just started a dubstep channel... full tunes, old and new. the channel is pretty bare right now but it's only the beginning! enjoy

PS. these mixes are pretty damn sweet, nice work.. keep pushing the sound

  • sweet.

  • sweet mix

  • Props on the mix

    Nice track selection as well

  • niceone

  • Vinyl gives the best bass response hands down. CDJs can do a good job if you have high enough quality mp3s. Of course it wont replace vinyl though, major differences can be heard still to the trained ear. Shit, YOU CAN FEEL the difference, big ups to your mixin Woah B. Well enjoyed.

  • @nox1sxmessenger

true. vinyl kills the fucking floor n makes it FLEX! unless it's at least 320, mp3s ain't got shit

  • uhh... at least a 320?

Is there a better quality than 320s?

  • if you can get a .wav file then that would be it.

  • Hahaha, of course there are!

    in .wav format (lossless audio)

I have a few tracks that are over 1,400kbps ;)

  • @gloverfelix Theres no limit lmao

  • @gloverfelix get flac file you flacker

  • For real this is one one of the truest dubstep mix on youtube man, seriously this, "This one is for those who remember what dubstep used to sound like.

It wasn't always half-step wobble." is the best statement ever, and the last track is the greatest that ever happened to this genre, and its what got me into dubstep, so thank you for this great mix. Real dubstep still lives : )

  • Lovin this. Whoa B got mad skills.

  • Wizard!

  • is it me or is it only dubstep and/or dnb djs that be keepin vinyl alive? who needs a micro chip 2 beat match 4 ya? nice mix aswell man, good job

  • totally dude it does seem to be linked to the dub and dnb scene dont it. im a dub/dnb head myself and cant imagine doing a mix on a laptop or cdjs. i guess its just a matter of time before everyones on serato, its like keeping vinyl alive but not. just up to the record companys to make sure the money keeps coming in one way or another to keep the artists coming but up to the dj not to let the art of vinyl mixing die.

  • Nice to see some variety ina mix! :D Top notch misin' old boiii !

  • sick shit man. sick shit.

  • aaaarrrrrrrgghhhhhh nice one dude!!!

    wob wob woobb!

  • That was so much fun to watch and listen to! Some masterful, quickfire blends there, sir. That last Martyn / Burial sync was absolutely sublime...

  • BTW. Sick mix.

  • People are too pissy about music in general...who cares what something is defined as? Music is art, and is therefore left to the eye, rather ear, of the beholder. Sit back and enjoy the sick beats, and let the petty bicker.

  • Ikr. People are so caught up with defining genres and trying to fit in and needing to categorize things, People are forgetting it's music. Just sit back and listen. Who gives a shit whether it's 2step/dubstep/garage/whatever, Just fucking enjoy it.

  • @Gafaton Hey I understand what your saying, but some genres need to be left alone people change them and forget where it came from and what it really is. This is what happened with trance. Trance is becoming too much like Techno/club and rave. Thats not what it is. In this case Dubstep will end up like another techno. Hopefully it doesn't and hopefully, if people wanna change a genre they just make there own.

great music sick beats, and fantastic genre!

  • how can one be so concerned with what others think of one kind of music or another, whether or not one artist is too "mainstream" or not. I mean really, other people's opinions matter so much that you are willing to forgo some bit of music because you think someone might get the wrong impression of you because you like it? breathing oxygen's pretty mainstream too

  • yeh mate thank you. ( of my favourite tunes in a tidy little mix. Its a shame that nowadays you must search for good dubstep nights, as 3 years ago, any dubstep night was brilliant. Glad to know im not alone

  • WOW!!!

Great stuff man, bring this shit bacK!!
