  • Scariest music ever heard ! :O

Makes me think about christian inquisition during the middle age...

  • Bosch was no doubt just as oddly genius as Aphex Twin:)

  • i gotta take the pills..... damn!

  • I actually fell asleep listening to this and Matchsticks and was wondering what the hell was happening to me when I was still half asleep. It's genuinely scary music.

  • hey this is excellent idea - aphex twin and bosh... works very well

  • Im in space guys.

  • Don't sleep listening to Aphex Twin kids.

    Don't take this advice lightly.

  • @Spartan117A1 Yeah dont, i did it and i turned into a demon......itz not all bad though

  • Life.

  • I think David Firth used this in one of his flashes.

  • i think im high

  • Gosh..

  • Excellent timing of sequences and music, would love and pay to have this in HD.

Aphex, 1 of my favorites, Hironimus too. excellent work mate :)

  • Would have been more appropriate to have the Conservatives at the end. *trollface.jpg*

Anyway, this is an excellent little video, I think I saw a few of these works when I was in New York (or pieces that portray a similar image.)

  • instant insanity

  • actually the most unappealing track on SAW2 has to be tassels. it feels like someone is trying to perform a lobotomy on your head with a power drill.

  • I keep thinking the part at 3:21 is the intro to M83 - Gone.

  • XD ROFL the ending took me by surprise! What were the labour party thinking when they put that out?!

  • Very good vid!! I love SAW2, it sounds like the soundtrack of a disturbing dream.

  • Very good vid!! I love SAW2, it sounds like the soundtrack of a disturbing dream.

  • I really like this video i think you did a good job, it fits quite well. Basically i think Aphex Twin has an ability to access other dimensions/frequencies/altered states of conciseness (with or without the use of drugs) and, not only experience the 'music' heard in those other realms but bring the sounds back and recreate them with electronic equipment, which needless for me to say is complete and total GENIUS. Selected Ambient Works Vols 1 and 2 are masterpieces.

  • @DjHyphie Listen to Burning World by Loop in one room, and this track at the same time in another room, they blend in nicely

  • i do not know why the hell i can't remember this track off this album. it's given me some inspiration to go back to making some ambient drone songs though.

  • I find an interesting alien introspection within the track and the choice of Bosch's romp through inner imaginatory hell. Not so much for the hell or suffering depicted in his works or necessarily that this is showcased in the music, but the alienation of both pieces. Aphex's music (in me, and pieces such as this) provoke extreme isolation and alienation.

Much how Bosch captures the alien landscape of hell and suffering, specifically given his time period.

    Thanks.

    -One drunk artist

    Thanks.

  • i think this video goes well. its about the plague, the sound of the streets, normally buzzing with commuters, empty, dry, dead.

the song is called hankie, and the pictures stay in your picture, especially with the organ bit

  • thanks so much for this

  • fuck this is absolutely brilliant. A F X rulezzz

  • This Is Both Disturbing

    And Beautiful.

    Especially At 1:47 With

    The Dead Walking Skeleton's

  • "overrated" just means a lot of people share a similar and positive view on something and you dont agree with it.

And overrated has no effect on the fact that millions of people can enjoy something so simple and you cant. Must be depressing to miss out on such simple pleasures.

  • or how about just "music"

  • the horror of the plague

  • genius stuff

  • If you always desired to be the protagonist in a Hieronymus Bosch picture : Take thorn apple tea and listen to this track^^

  • Hah, I don't think you should just go around advising people to take Datura. If you don't know what you're doing, it's the easiest way to end up dead, in the hospital, or naked several miles away from your home.

  • AGREED, Datura Stramonium is potent, Reallu really potent, much more than any hoffmann 2000 or psylocibe or k-shot out there.

AND IT'S NO FUN! so don't even try it, there's no point in doing a drug which causes no fun

  • thorn apple is that a trip? or what im just curious.

  • Afraid of monsters :|

  • So perfectly ominous...

  • Wondrously ominous...

  • even tho it's quite nightmare'ish, i enjoy listening to the entire album from cd1 to cd2, start to finish whilst in bed at night. I get all sorts of crazy mind rushes and images before I fall into a deep sleep stage. the dreams are even weirder. best ambient album ever... brian eno is overated!!

  • And without Brian Eno, pseudo-overrated ambience such as Aphex Twin would of never came to exist, as if it was good in the first place.

  • How about you keep your trolling on 4chan.

  • what video isn't complete without some pretentious asshole trying to make themselves sound important? can't you formulate your own opinion without just being disrespectful and therefore discrediting your own comment?

  • Sorry,it's just a video I put together, but everyone is welcome to their own opinion.Did not think it was pretentious, but to others it maybe?!?

  • nah that wasn't directed at you, it was directed at some stupid comment someone wrote. your video is wonderful :)

  • @xtraordinarymachine0

    >>some pretentious asshole

    >>disrespectful

    >>discrediting your own comment

  • @xtraordinarymachine0

    are you complaining about yourself?

  • nothing beats steve roach, but this is good!

  • Giger/ Chet zar work would've kicked ass with this too.

  • really awesome song.. completly genius

  • People make noises when they're sick...

    o;;O

  • Yeah, well if your on crack, that's what happens

  • the paintings are the best for this music...Props from Red_Frost_Industries...

  • Did Bosch and Bruegel do some horrific shit or what??? I can't tell.

  • Very fitting and nicely done vid, man.

SAW2 is the most underrated work of genius ever.....in one album he managed to put out Eno caliber ambient.....this music tickles a part of the brain that absolutely no other music does.

  • Perturbador y muy bien relacionado.

  • I love the combination of visuals and audio...thankyou for putting this together.:)

  • The sounds dreams make.

  • Eerily fitting.

  • music and pictures fits good

  • Pieter Bruegel the Elder is the shit!!

  • Fuck !

  • scary creatures lurk not far from sounds in song

  • try going to sleep listening to selected ambient works vol. 2

  • Source Direct - Stone Killer - Metalheadz - great tune! I wasn't aware they'd sampled an Aphex Twin tune!

Aphex Twin always amazes me with the variety of sounds he creates. Rich D always has his own agenda, and totally doesn't tick all the boxes - on purpose?

  • Tis a way of keeping it fresh and exciting.

  • horribly scary

  • very original idea, but you should improve quality of the video for maximum impact.

HD is the way to go for this one.

"it is like standing in a power station on acid"

    Aphex Twin on SAW II.

  • chills...

  • afraid of monsters

  • strange

  • pretty creapy

  • Absolutely a brilliant visual and musical rendition of Bosch's painting! Truly haunting and eeire! Bravo!XD

  • Truly horrific in a very very good way!

  • It's a shame this track isn't on the US CD release.

  • I like the video alot. Kind of like a moment where you realise how close we are in time to a age like the one portraited in the video

  • Nice video. I wish there would be more artists who would parallel art on the extreme, kinda gives you a kick in your face, and happy highs/time with aim. :)

  • SAWII + Bosch = good luck sleeping tonight

  • Nice cut at the end! Sort of the sting in the tail after that haunting and tormented melody

  • Somehow this track always makes me think of torture chambers and documentaries about Arabic women getting acid thrown on their faces by their husbands. I really don't know why. Maybe it's one of these flashbacks and it's actually been used in one of those documentaries from the days before it became politically incorrect to air stuff like that on TV.

  • This is the work of Basch i think? abstract artist who understood what was happening, yea this guy had his eyes open..... look for the owl, it turns up in every painting, he called it the observer. Not to mention the lizards, their everywhere.... scary stuff

  • where did that paintings come from ?

  • Hieronymus Bosch (1450-1516)& Pieter Bruegel The Elder(1525 - 1569

  • ah De Goya style, nice. and good track choice to represent the art at hand.

  • reminds me alot of bucketheads Spokes For The Wheels OF Torment Video

  • Where am I...?

  • @Atrumus Asda

  • Damn, well fucking done!

  • Thank God this video is back up! Why was it taken down for a while?
