  • z rana uslyszalam i caly dzien po glowie chodzilo ;) swietny koncek !

  • love this song, but the videos a bit crap!

  • Ash From Pokemon!

  • He looks like a mixture of James Blunt, Tom Cruise and Owen Wilson. :')

  • @MrLittleRedMan11 Amazingly good observation he actually does

  • What a water baby :D

  • Very a poor man's James Blunt.

And a rich man's clit squeezer.

If only this video was literal.

  • @penusorus I have no idea what point you are trying to make with your obscure comparisons and references. Please be more specific with your messages, I am Autistic, and I also do not know who James Blunt is. Are we all meant to know what a clit squeezer is..is it some sort of implement, like a nut cracker ?.. Some of us have jobs and don't attend pretentious coffee table gatherings at impractical hours to catch up on the latest fashionable innuendo.

  • @savepenguintrees Firstly let me apologise for my misspelled initial comment.

Insert the word "much" after the word "Very".

I too sir am artisti... Oh. That must be my dyslexia. I am not autistic.

If you don't know who James Blunt is, you seem perfectly capable of typing & assuming people attend "pretentious coffee shops" (is there such a thing? I wouldn't know) so why don't you Google him/search on YouTube?

Another note, if there's one thing I am not, & that's "fashionable".

    Just ask my penis.

  • he looks like a combination of owen wilson and tom cruise...

  • Is it my phone or am I the first person to like this video

  • Roswell!

  • a fine piece of work from a fine band,,,,still sounds great

  • Some years ago, this was the song I 'gave' to my love, my shining light. The love was lost, alas, but the opening chords of this song may as well be played on my heartstrings, so much do they still tug upon them when I hear them. A song of such power and beauty that will always evoke those moments in time. Thanks Ash :-)

  • A bloody good band. Pretty sure the only thing that held them back is Wheeler's voice when he sings live. Shame.

  • who covered this song first? Ash or Annie Lennox? Just wondered. I like this version better than Annies version.

  • @mikeyocrooner

ASH covered it first , they won an ivor novello for it x

  • @mikeyocrooner Not a cover. Tim Wheeler from Ash wrote it

  • @mikeyocrooner FFS, do you have a clue?

  • hi kayt, great upload, great song, great live act too. as for the geographical argument, can we all play nice please?

  • will you light up my life?

  • Who cares where they're from, they're immense!

  • yeh me2""" i remember seeing ash, i was 18 years old i love ash band.but now i love megadeth 4 ever heavy metal ply w/ my guitar v . ilove ash 4 ever

  • i remember seeing ash + muse in a tent in the arse end of galway back in 2001. don't even know how i got there. good fuckin teenage memory!

  • Great UK Band. It is a shame we Irish can't break free from our own indoctrination by continually denying the possibility of Northern Ireland people being British and part of the UK.

  • snowedinpatrol

Good point except british and UK are not thesame. If this is the case Biffy Clyro and Stereophonics are british bands, they are not they are scot and welsh respectively which is part of the UK. Similarly Ash are a NI band part of the UK.

The brits also have a habbit of claiming NI people as their own if they do good, but rejecting tehm as irish if they do bad (seen in sport)

  • @TheTvrulesthenation Errr no, England, Wales and Scotland (still) make up Great Britain and bands from there are therefore British. Add N Ireland and you've got the UK. Look on your passport if you want to double-check. BTW, not a nationalist thing - I'm all for England declaring independence from the UK ;-)

  • 2:47

    Random boob close-up

  • This is a great song but if you like this you may like to search:

THE VINYLS-GET IT OUT OF YOUR HEAD

It'll only take 3mins and this band are AMAZING!!!

  • Aside from the music ,there seems to be a little geographical confusion: Britain - the place where the Britons live(d); Great Britain - the island comprising England, Scotland and Wales; Lesser Britain - Brittany, aka Bretagne (i.e. a peninsula of the European continent). Not sure about Ireland - Hibernia (Latin), Erin (Welsh - i.e. British) - Éire ?

  • Piosenka fajna... :) Ale teledysk żenująco oklepany... :(

  • my teacher is married to the bassist

  • @SoccerLexi5 what? haha... i'd love his lesson as boring he would be, and ask himall the time: ''when is their tour?''

    ''are they coming here?''

  • @SoccerLexi5 and so ?

  • @Fraternity25503 what was the point in replying to my comment?

  • @SoccerLexi5 gay

  • @SoccerLexi5 really? cool!

  • @SoccerLexi5 The lead singer I think is in a relationship with Emmy the Great.

  • ash were around before either of them

  • james blunt / josh groban hybrid, love the tune though!

  • I wonder how many times he had to get in that pool to film this.....

  • @relientk4ever902

  • Two words ... SUPER ... erm ... GRASS

  • I love this video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • OMG LISTEN TO YOURSELVES do you guys have any idea what you'r actually arguing about ???no doubt beleiving how the english are the scurge of the commonwealth n how we brutally invaded all our neighbouring countries all those centuries ago or about catholics n protestants also bollox from centuries ago if you really had any idea you'd realise that it wasnt the english it was the fucking norman mercanaries who invaded and colonised all your countries right after they defeated the english in 1066

  • @jaycon85 and in irelands case by invitation a tribal leader hired the french mercenaries after william the conqueror defeated the english to help him defeat the other tribes n the normans did this then decided to stay or if ya wanna take it back further u cud blame the the angles the picts the vikings or even further back the fuckin romans for the divides in this so called UNITED kingdon !duno about you but i wasnt around for any of that so Y shud we fight about sumat that is nufin 2 do wiv us

  • Roswell ending...so sad right now...

  • wow, what a terrible cover.

  • Comment removed

  • @CephiedVariable

Cover? Who did this first, then? Are you referring to Annie Lenox's version of this song? I really don't think she wrote this....

  • @CephiedVariable i think you will find it was annie lennox who covered this you gimp not the mighty ASH

  • @CephiedVariable duuuuuh what the fuck

  • didn't know james blunt was in ash

  • @null I`m Irish and never heard that before it`s only the englandish that tend to do that, in terms of sport if your from the republic you count northern ireland as well northern ireland . everyone that i know that watchs any kind of sport(also north and rep of ireland play together in galic football, hurling and ruby so can`t really count them as brithish sportmen/women , unless of course your an idiot like 90% of wel irish people:D)

  • love the way people from ireland say northern ireland is irish when they win and suddenly british when they lose! and i live in ireland so i speak the truth

  • He looks just like James Blunt 0_o

  • I was thinking he looks more like Luke Wilson, then i saw that every1 was saying owen wilson.

  • @jonedwards88 definitely looks more like Luke WIlson.

  • really soothing song... relax :-)

  • Brilliant. Irish bands rock like fuck....

  • TA WENAAA..

  • another great Irish band!

  • ..I like Annie Lennox's version better..she makes it feel TRUE. This guy just sings the words...

  • @Bastarden 'This guy' being Tim Wheeler? The person who wrote this masterpiece?

  • @jordyp182 yes, exactly him. I could write something nice up today but still wouldn't be able to sing and make it sound TRUE.

My personal opinion, and everyone's free to choose what version to like.

  • @Bastarden yeah right annie lennox is shit man ! i should know coz i'm from ab 'deen and i know that ash are shit hot ! ye bastard ye ! hehe live long and prosper man...!

  • id forgotten how good this song is

  • nice

  • he look like a cross between Tom Cruise, Owen Wilson AND James Blunt ^^

  • Great song

  • Had a moment of madness at Oxegen last year when i decided to leave Muse halfway to see Ash.......well worth it

  • @TheTvrulesthenation That wasnt madness That was a very good decision!

  • Comment removed

  • @TheTvrulesthenation I've heard that tim wheeler's seriously out of tune live, was he then?

  • creamycanarie98

Can't remember him being out of tune live, if so thats the fault of the guitar technician fella. They are meant to have all guitars that the guitarist will use tuned & a spare ready if there is any faults with the guitar

  • @creamycanarie98 He doesn't really get out of tune, he just has trouble hitting some notes since he's been singing for some 18 years and his voice has worn down a bit.

  • @creamycanarie98 he isn't great live

  • @TheTvrulesthenation you saw them live?

damn, why i'm the only one who havent seen ANYONE live?

oh wait, i'm 15 yet... i always forget that one

  • @mariab0609 Thats just lazy I went 2 c Michael Jackson when i was IN THE WOUMB of my mother :D, Seriously, shes hardcore :D

  • @JellyKimSugarBoom14 haha! my mom doesnt like music at all, my dad was a photographer of maaaany rock bands... he saw michael jackson when my mom was with me in her woumb, HOME... i wish my dad was pregnant to me...

i would have a much better ear.

  • Im straight as an arrow, but I gotta say: Tim is fucking gorgeous.

  • lovely song...most bland video i've ever seen.

  • ahh mann remember this when UK rock didn't have to pretend to have American accents and still were awesome? fuck it, i'm starting a band

  • @Theocl top man. can i join too? over 40 over weight but im a dancin guru (especially after a load of stella and vodka:-))

  • i like this kind of song, making people feeling easy and relax.

  • Excellent song!!!

  • great.....GREETINGS FROM ITALY

  • nice

  • Check 'Convalescence Kid: Nothing left to lose' it's pretty cool!

  • Love this tune!

  • Love the way ppl from england claim N.I. when they want ha

(braces himself to be rated down.... then realises he doesnt care)

I spose if rory mcilroy was to win the master's in augusta he wud be english, if however he loses, he's irish again

  • @TheBiggBiscuit disgraceful isnt it

  • @TheBiggBiscuit

i dont suppose many people would give a shit where the band were from, considering the great he stuff that they used to chuck out.

i for one dont care one iota.

  • @TheBiggBiscuit yep same with every sports person in wales scotland and N.ireland , when they they British when they loose there again from the country that there born in:P

  • @MrJamesmusic thats the funniest thing ever.....football??????? England can barely string together a football team...theyre shit....top flight full of africans....

  • @TheBiggBiscuit We dont care whether he's from england, N.I. or wherever - simply a great band regardless.

  • @TheBiggBiscuit Don't cry.

  • athrthrshsrth

  • THIS SONG SAYS EVERYTHING I THINK , YOU ARE A SHINI9NG LIGHT IN AN OTHRERWISE DARK WORLD I JUST HOPE ITS NOT TO LATE X

  • TheBiggBiscuit

I've always found that amusing myself, It seems to only be with N.I. I've yet to hear a british person claiming the same to Stereophonics (welsh) or Biffy Clyro (scottish). Could be due to many NI people associating themselves with the UK with the whole protestant factor, whereas the scots & welsh for the most part seem to dislike the brits

Either ways good fucking music regardless of where they're from

  • @TheTvrulesthenation Welsh & Scottish ppl ARE Brits. It's sad when people buy into that braveheart bollocks

  • IAmKingBonzo

Hmm last time i checked Britain referred to the country & UK referred to the 4 states of the british empire. Just because a colloquial term of ''british people'' can be understood as scots/welsh doesn't mean that it is correct no more than your slang''mint''=cool being the correct definition of the plant. As for ''that Braveheart Bollocks'', I'm not even bothering arguing on scots being loyal or not to your crown

  • @TheTvrulesthenation Getting involved here, it's called the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, which no longer exists.

  • thenutsisgood

United Kingdom: An island in europe consisting of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (seperate island) Apparently great britain means basically the same thing, regardless Ash are Northern Irish. Not british, i've NI friends both catholic and protestant the catholics say they are NI (& would like to be part of ROI). The protestant says she considers herself both british AND NI which makes no sense to me

  • @TheTvrulesthenation Britain is specifically the island of Great Britain which includes England Scotland and Wales but not N.I. Not sure if N.I loyalists call themselves British but I assume they do as you say colloquially.

I wasn't having a go at you with the braveheart thing or asking for a debate just saying generally it's a shame at all the anti English sentiment and distorting of history you come across when really there's very little difference between us

  • IAmKingBonzo

I'd assume great britain is another word like united kingdom (ie from your empire era) that is interchangable. NI loyalists think they are british, least the ones i've conversed with. Theres a big difference culturally between us but the whole english vs ireland started from catholics/protestants. Catholocism was implemented into the irish psyche as part of our culture & thats where the whole trobule up north alongside yer ancestors being dicks basically stem from, stupid init?

  • @IAmKingBonzo the film is inaccurate anyway. T here were Scots on both sides as it was a good excuse for the clans to be able to kill one another and I`m not even going to talk about Wallace`s brother..

  • @TheBiggBiscuit Same with Andy Murray in tennis.
