Gustav Vasa was a farmer when Denmerk attacked. He had a dead sentence on him. So he first went to "Dalarna" to bring more soldiers. When they didn't join him first, he was gonna go into exile in Norway. Read up on your history faggot,
@JohnAnderssonTV Gustav Vasa being a farmer is a myth. The reason that he wanted to fight the danes in the first place is that his father was executed in the Stockholm Bloodbath by Kristian II. Only priests and nobles were executed that day, and Gustav Vasas father were one of those nobles. Thus, Gustav Vasa was a noble. However he was a noble of low-birth, his family didn't have that much influence. He hated the guts out of the high-nobles.
@JohnAnderssonTV He's father was killed in Stockholms Bloodbath. Were only nobles and priests were killed. It is believed that the myth about him being a farmer started with people telling such stories to make him seem like more of a peoples king. Read a book instead of Wikipedia and you'll see I'm right.
@SteffeStolpskott Wikipedia? I never even tought of that but I guess you're quite familiar with that site. I don't see why I should read when I can ask historians. Stop with your bullshit, and go and spread false rumors about someone else
@JohnAnderssonTV "I don't see why I should read when I can ask historians." Detär oartigt att ställa en fråga utan att lyssna på svaret =) Hursomhelst, om du läst något seriösare än en wiki artikel borde du ha förstått att Vasa var adlig, så diskussionen är väl över. God kväll.
yes he was fuckin brave. wen other swedish nobles rebelled they (about 80) were beheaded in stockholm november 10th. he knew he might die by those fucking danish catholic assholes
@earp1232 Those nobles didn't rebel. They expressed discontent with the danish rule but hey never rebelled. The dane punished them to make an example: No one was allowed to speak ill of the the king of Denmark. Not even the archbishop of sweden, who was beheaded that day.
But Gustav Vasa was a great King.. The reason he went away when the danes attacked was because he wanted to create a big army to kick out the Danes with.
@joonte1010 I agree that Gustav Vasa was a great king as in he wa able to do many important things which made sweden into the country it is today, but i don't agree he was a great king who's rule was just and good. I really don't think we can call him goodness incarnate, not all supported him as king, and he had methods of dealing with them.

Gustaf Wasa is actually one of the greatest Kings in Swedish history.
Armaziz, on the other hand, is probably one of the most insignificant persons in Swedish history.

Apart from that you are correct.

You are just ignorant. Gustav Vasa is one of the most important
(maybe the most important) king in the history of Sweden
Gustav Vasa is the founder of the swedish nationstate.
Without him Sweden would probably not have existed as
a sovereign state today...
