  • After careful viewing (& the pause button - lol) I've realized that the audience watching the race are all characters from the other jazzy spies: the 2 George Washingtons, the top hatted man from 3, the elephant from 4, the gator (or croc) from 5, the 6-legged bug, the wizard from 7, the octopus from 8, and the dancing creature from 9

  • Who drew these segments?

  • Shouldn't the spies stay off the racetrack when 10 cars are racing?

  • Are there any known instances of Grace Slick commenting on these films? I have a feeling she herself won't bring the topic up, but I wonder what she'd say if asked about it?

  • Thanks, Raposofan for posting these. I'm from the first generation of SS viewers, and these Jazz spies bring back a lot of memories!

    Cheers!

  • At 0:25, you can hear Grace hum a note to herself, probably to restablish the key and/or timing in her head.

  • So uh no 1 huh?

  • I never would have guessed that it was Grace Slick singing in this animation.

  • Gee I wonder how much time it took to rehearse all of this?

  • If you ask me, the man holding the #10 flag looks a little like W.C. Fields.

  • I've seen this segment plenty of times growing up. When I 1st saw #10 the 1st thing I noticed was the racers & spies are featured in the segment & the peacock w/Chiquita bananas. Until I was able to pause I had never noticed that characters from the rest of the segments are in the grandstand cheering on the racers(George Washington Twins, juggler-3, elephant-4, alligator-5, dragonfly-6, wizard-7, octopus-8, & rabbit-9.

  • Whoa, I never noticed that before! I guess you *do* learn new something every day. :)

  • I was about five months away from birth when these first hit the air. They were major milestones in my infancy. Many thanks!

  • nothin' like the jazzy spies to get the blood flowing on a gloomy uneventful morning. Thank you for posting these!

  • Any chance we could see the Master versions of 2 and 3? These are so wonderful. I'd love to have the background music alone on an album.

  • The 2 and 3 master versions are posted.

  • Ack! so they are. Strange when I do a search 2 & 3 never come up. Thanks muchly. Great to see these from the masters.

  • Thank you, so much! It's great to see all the jazz numbers in their entirety, especially the "silent intros" that often got cut in later epidosdes. I don't ever remember seeing the 'silent intro' to number nine!

  • Me neither!

  • The "silent intro" to number 9 has a guy jumping onto a seesaw, propelling a number 9 right at us!

  • Your friend Traci deserves a perfect "10" for giving you this!

  • Yes, she definitely does, that is true. I got her a pretty cool "OK Then Here's Retaliation For That Fantastic Gift" B'day present she loved as much, though, so I think I managed to equal the score!!
