Again I ask, WHY are people complaining about Capcom?! Seriously guys making a new fighter in this game is a lot of work and they have made a ton. Its not like MvC2 where its just sprites, they have to model, unwrap, texture, animate, import, code, debug, BALANCE. Tons of work that deserves far more appreciation.
Capcom working this hard shows that they hold great appreciation for their fans seeing as PHOENIX is in this game!
@thedragonb0y I honestly think some people were spoiled by the amount of characters in MVC2. And because of that expected this to have around 80 which is a pretty unrealistic expectation and they fail to understand why it's a smaller roster. This isn't MUGEN and MVC2 wasn't made from scratch unlike MVC3. The fact that we even got 50 characters made from scratch on 3D for me is already a huge accomplishment.
@writejustice777 I wouldn't say it was because of the amount clones. It was because almost all the characters were just copied/pasted from previous games. You can have around 50 characters without having many clones. UMVC3 is a good example. The only characters who play the closest alike are Ryu & Akuma.
People also fail to understand that they had a deadline and making 3D models from scratch takes months. Which is why the original couldn't even get 40 characters.

I completely back you up on the deadlines of 3D modeling, Texturing, Rigging, Lighting, Dynamic Effects, Animation, and Importing into a game engine that would have to be debugged over and over again. they did a smart job polishing 40 characters in 3d rather than risking having a bugged roster of 60 or 70 characters that those morons want.
not to mention rebuilding the same game with new stuff is very common everywhere

I'm a Phoenix Wright Fanboy, however I have mixed feelings for him in MvC only because I recognize he's a huge name for Capcom, yet he really holds no place in this, I mean say what you will but the truth is he isn't a fighter. Any of these characters can fight cause they use real attacks that actually would hurt, but EVERYTHING that Phoenix does is unrealistic. I love the guy soo balls deep much, but it's safe to say he could never pummel the Hulk.

In a canon fight, none of the others would stand a chance against someone from that group.
Can you imagine Ryu, Spencer, or Chris taking on Dormammu or Shuma in a canon fight? They would have the same chance PW would. 0. They wouldn't last 5 seconds.

Look at just how many franchises they are working on! Resident Evil, Megaman, Ace Attorney, Devil May Cry, Street Fighter, etc
All of this while creating expansions for MvC3 and yet people are calling them assholes because they canceled the new Megeman Legends "on purpose."
Not to mention, these are AAA games, it costs thousands of dollars for them to SELL these games.

@mastersword12345 Well I've never played his games, but I've heard that he got hit by a car and flew back about 30 ft and hit a pole(headfirst) which only resulted in a sprained ankle. And I've heard he fell from a waterfall and all he got was a cold from it.

I'm a Phoenix Wright Fanboy, however I have mixed feelings for him in MvC only because I recognize he's a huge name for Capcom, yet he really holds no place in this, I mean say what you will but the truth is he isn't a fighter. Any of these characters can fight cause they use real attacks that actually would hurt, but EVERYTHING that Phoenix does is unrealistic. I love the guy soo balls deep much, but it's safe to say he could never pummel the Hulk.

@CaptainSeacup If you complain about realism, then you might as well complain about Doom, Magneto, Thor, Strange, Dormammu, Shuma, Phoenix, Morrigan, Ammy, and I think Hulk and Ghost Rider being able to be beaten by the other characters. In a canon fight, none of the others would stand a chance against someone from that group.
Can you imagine Ryu, Spencer, or Chris taking on Dormammu or Shuma in a canon fight? They would have the same chance PW would. 0. They wouldn't last 5 seconds.

Deadpool's level 3 is also pretty long (and just as silly) and Vergil's is also dang long
all that being said a 10 second super isn't THAT long, considering it'll take ten times longer than that to get the game running (if you're on PS3)
