  • Love this song, I have 3 of their 4 singles on 7 inch, this, Living In The Past and Home is Where The Heart Is, and would never ever get rid of them, even if my record player packed up, just need to find Moving Targets on 7 inch, and the CD Everyman which doesn't cost an arm and a leg

  • I saw them in Sheffield around 86/87 they were the support band for Human League.

  • @Renegade4439 hi renegade4439 . i was at that same human league gig at the Sheffield city hall. i seem to remember they were all suited and booted that night, unlike the previous time i saw them when they supported 'King' (again at the Sheffield city hall) they were all dressed as Indians and the energy they had on stage was unbelievable, they totally blew me away that night. i even still have one of their drum sticks : )

  • 1 of my fav 80s songs should have been a huge hit

  • Nergens te vinden dit nummer. Iemand een idee waar ik dit (betaald) kan downloaden.

Does anybody know where to get this song? (payed download) It is not in iTunes

  • loved this band! i remember going 2 a king concert in bham in the 87 and drum theatre were the warm up band and wen the encore shout came up at the end of the king set we all shouted 4 drum theatre 2 come back out!! pity they never quite made it in the uk i thought they were fantastic!!

  • Well done Romy I'm really proud of drum theathre as well. I wish drum theathre could have been remembered as an even bigger band in the 80s. In 1985 I bought your other single Living in the Past after hearing it on Saturday Superstore. It was a favourite by Keith Chegwin as well.

  • @TheRomymoore : Hi Romy, I was one of your father's band groupie when I was 18. I used to follow them in Italy and England with my friends. You are right to be proud: they really where good boys, never a scandal, nothing to share with today's rehab stars. Take care.

  • ADORED THIS TUNE FOR YEARS. Were they produced by Trevor Horn? Their stuff had a classy production quality about it.

  • there are 2 video version of Eldorado.....

  • Bought this song all those years ago.

  • What's the drummer guys name, the dark hair, on top of the tallest car? The guy who appears at the very end of the clip hitting his drums looking to his right, then he looks straight ahead. Anyone know his name?

  • Wow I loved these guys and was very lucky to meet them one afternoon in Birmingham Pat was such a star!!!!!!!!!

  • Una band che m'é piaciuta moltissimo perché molto colorati, freschi, estivi... E come non dimenticare l'estate, del 1986? Soprattutto quei giorni di Luglio su a Foppolo?

  • grandi!

  • @Giumbolo1970 VERO..............

  • Sorry,Jacqui.I only have a vinyl copy of the album.

  • I was lucky to have know these guys Gary Tarn, vocals Simon Moore guitar and Kent Brainard. The album should be available on Amazon...I went to Sarm studios when they were recording with Gary Langham...one of Trevor Horn's guys. Its brilliant and a real shame they didnt get a chance! Simon writes music for TV as does Kent who is a successful TV commercial composer. The drummer I believe joined the rock group UFO dont know what happpened to the bass player but he was really excellent! Mike Marshall.

  • What happened to the singer...Gary Tarn? You don't mention him.

  • OMG!! I LOVED This Video so long ago, once upon a time when I was living in Florence Italy and at 21 having the time of my life!! There was another song this band sung that I lied so much more. So funny, so cheesy, so awesome!!

    【2回目】

  • hillarious

  • Nice song. So eighties. In the style of The Breakfast Club.

  • And then?

    And both perfect anyway. :-)

  • Kent is a music composer producer in London.

  • Paul snook has a myspace page somewhere and now lives in New York. Simon Moore went on tour with Thompson Twins in 87 but not sure what happened after that. They were great guys, especially Paul and Kent B.

  • Where is Jonh Petrucci?

  • Seriously.. if any of the band are out there please let us know what happened after this... I was gutted you weren't megastars... a travesty of justice if ever there was one... Simon - you were a poppet to my sister when we saw you supporting the Human League.. you made her eighties!!

  • Ahh Drum Theatre... Loved Loved Loved this.. and had a HUGE crush on Miles Benedict (one of the drummers who left prior to my seeing them as a support act for The Human League in the mid eighties)... still in my top ten "feel Great" songs

  • Che nostalgia!!!! A LEI piaceva tanto questa canzone e a me piaceva tanto LEI!!!! Em. Vi. di Napoli se ti ricordi di me RISPONDIMI CHE IO TI AMO ANCORA!!!!!!!!! NON TI HO MAI DIMENTICATA!!!!!!

  • When I first heard it I thought it was Go West.

Shame they only had this one hit.

Classic 80's track that never wears off.

  • This was when music made sense!!

  • i saw these supporting ' KING ' in brum hippadrome about 1985/6 very good for a support band.

  • Dosn't Gari Tarn look like Johnny Galeki who used to be in Rosanne.

  • Isn't that Adam Ant singing?

Great drums I like this song there's some raw beat in it.

Can someone tell me if I am right with Adam Ant?

  • Appelo52 Def not Adam Ant... Can't recall the singers name I have the album somewhere will see if I can dig out for ya.

  • recently bought Everyman on ebay have had it on tape since release and now its mine! should have been huge. they were suited and booted when duran duran came on the scene, but Duran got the contract

  • In fact, percussionist Miles Benedict kind of looks like Nick Rhodes in the Arcadia era!

  • @mirzamarco totally agree!! Also "El Dorado"... and "El Diablo"....

  • There's a great remix of this track by Ben Liebrand. Try and find the 'Minimix 1' CD (EP), which has this 7:10 version. You might be able to get it from his personal site.

  • ho cercato questo video per anni!

    grazie!

  • The Album (moving target) was great. Favourite track was Wide Sarggaso Sea. Lent my album out never to see it again. 80's in a tin, cracking.

  • The Album was called Everyman, well it was in the UK, and it did nothing, but it should have been huge.

  • Living in the past was released on Epic label b side was seventh sign reference on record sleeve is A6798.

B side to Eldorado single is Jungle of people ref A6619. I bought both singles in 84/85 when Drum Theatre supported King at the Manchester Apollo.

  • Hi mspeekay: the album was called Everyman released in 1986 on the CBS record label.

  • Nice song - it cheers up my day. Makes me remind the Eighties with bands like the Breakfast Club, Simply Red and so on. Great!

  • I remember another video for this song, where three of them drive through the desert somwehere in Africa.

  • Yes, this is the US version!

  • A blast from the past which typtifies the music scene in the UK during the 1980's of artists who briefy enjoyed success at that time.

  • i remember this band. towards the end they became a

trio. 'living in the past' was their best song.

  • I loved these guys and met them when they were backing KING. Fantastic. They were on eastenders once in the background in the queen vic.

  • I still have the 12" of this song..

    really liked it.

  • eldorado (1985), living in the past, home is where the heart is (1986). Then they re-released Eldorado in early '87 with a different look AND a new video. After that came the album and the "moving Targets" single. Love this band, would love to know whatever happened to them. And I would love to see all the vids. THANX for posting, much luv xoxo

  • Brings back memories, had their album, but only put a few tracks on tape, including one called 'Moving Target' which I still have.

  • Such a great song, I spent years lookin for it, til I found it 1 year ago.

  • They had at least one more hit. I've got a couple of singles. This one and one called Home is Where the Heart Is. And there might be one more, I don't remember. Cool band though.

  • Right On! Home Is Where The Heart Is was equally good. Or should I say 'is' equally good. Both of these have stood the test of time. Phenomenal tracks.
