  • this is the demo version...the only differences are the eq on the vocals...and the drums are played by nate kelly

  • i have no idea what you people are talking about. this sounds exactly the same as any other Time Consumer.

  • i actually heard this version first, which i preceded to listen to the shit out of and now the "real" version sounds weird to me.

  • love the vocals done in this. just like the vocals on Shabutie songs <3

  • yeah this is the demo, the one before they rerecorded with EqualVision

  • Or like they said in the documentary, this could be one of the first mixes they did for Equal Vision after sending them the Delirium Trigger EP

  • If I am right, they put this out on their demo to be signed with Equal Vision

  • Maybe only one speaker was recorded and all the missing parts are played through the other speaker.

  • I had this!!! I thought this was the studio one when I was just getting into them! hahaha oh how I was wrong tho i do I have to admit I do like this version a bit more

  • That's weird where did you get this?

  • It sounds like a studio rough. Maybe a practice run to check levels and mix or something.

  • Shit, looking back at the comments, looks like I said the same thing 10 months ago on this video. LOL

  • I like the newer version, except that dumb solo by Dr. Know that sounds fucking horrible.

  • i cant imagine liking the demo version more even if i had heard it first, the vocals suck and the best bits of the song, the whole first verse high bits and the outro sound horrible in comparison to the soaring beauty of claudios vocie on the album version. the emotion of this song is unparalleled in my world!

  • I like the vocals on this one better.

  • I like the 2005 version better. It did away with some of the annoying vocal harmonies and the Dr. Know solo adds some much needed spice at the end.

  • ummm, actually, no this isnt on the first issue of SSTB. its a demo from those studio sessions tho. EVERY version of the album has the same mixes of the songs. the re release has some bonus songs tho,

  • Yeah. I had this version of time consumer, plus the demo versions of Devil in Jersey City, Everything Evil, Delirium Trigger (which appears to be the version from Delirium Trigger EP) , and 33 (which is different from the final and the DTEP version). I flipped a shit when I heard the actual album version of this song for the first time.

  • This is the version that's on the 2002 release. At least its on the one I have and I've had it way before the 2005 reissue came out. The 2005 version has a lot of differences in it. Take a listen.

  • This is actually the first version I've heard.

  • This was the version I heard first. I love it, but I love the new one more... except for the wierd guitar solo the added.

  • If i heard this version first, this would've been my favorite song from SSTB. but alas, Everything Evil it is.

  • (Continued from my previous post also)

The track list is as follows:

    01. Everything Evil (Same demo version on the rereleased SSTB in 2005)

02 . Time Consumer (This youtube video video)

    03. Neverender (rough demo mix)

    04. Sweet ("Devil In Jersey City" with additional vocal track)

    05. A New One Conspirator (Early Mix Of God Send Conspirator)

  • (Continued from my previous post)

This is simply an early mix of Time Consumer.

This is one of five demos that were leaked out (meaning I don't think Coheed themselves put it out) on an "album" called "The Coheed and Cambria EP."

  • This is not the version that was on the 2002 version of SSTB. The 2002 version and 2005 rerelease version are the EXACT same except 2005 has 3 extra tracks from the Shabutie days: Junesong Provision (Acoustic) [from the Delirium Trigger EP] , Elf Tower New Mexico , Everything Evil (Demo) [version from the unofficial album "The Coheed and Cambria EP" ]

  • dude if you wanna email me the mp3s of this album it would be amazing. this album is almost rarer than gold.

  • the first time i got this cd i had this version and all their other first releases of the songs! junesong provision was acoustic! I just found out recently that there was an electric version of it! so weird :)

  • when i record an album im gonna harmonize my vocals with myself, like claudio.

  • That's generally what you do.... Listen to "Autumn Shade 2" by the vines. Their singer is really good at harmonies.

  • @ansem533 Every one does that to be fair.

  • I've been trying to find this older version for a while now. Thanks for this.

  • This is awesome. Weird that you don't know it's origins but it's definitely awesome.

  • ok ok ok dude dude dude, do NOT delete this...lol keep it, it´s precious, it´s the first version, cuz they re-released the album on 2005 and this song got remastered and the remastered is the one everyone has...ive been looking for this version but noone has it

  • Wait? This is the rarer version? Ughh! I've been looking for the 2005 rerelease for years rofl. I've had this version for so long haha.

  • @BaddSpeelling same mate, theres more on my album that are like this version as well

  • I think it's a demo. Not 100% sure, though. For the longest time this was the only version I had. I was a bit weirded out when I first heard the album version.

I actually kinda like this version better. If Claud's vocals were a bit louder, I think it'd be perfect.
