How often do you buy plants? or do they just survive.. and do you inject co2? Buy the way your turtles are awesome if you ever get any babies you should keep one at least.
@tinytimtrack I drain and refill the sump twice a week, nothing is drained from the main tank. If I did remove water from the tank itself, I would use a sponge filter to protect the fish/ghost shrimp.
@everydaysaholiday82 Fern has laid eggs twice, both times she needed an injection of oxytocin to stimulate laying the eggs. Hoping she will not always need the extra help. Possibly suffering some neurological damage from her run-in with a car.
@yodiel100 I'll try. I have a new female mud turtle in the tank, a rehab, want to release her as soon as she is ready, but we may keep her. Just not sure. Will include her in a new video.
@gusfish1 I released my three musk turtle over a year ago. Nearly three years ago I released an overly aggressive male mud turtle. I am always releasing hatchlings that I rescue or are hatched out at my house. I now have four mud turtles.
@KugelKatzenFisch actually, there is a fifth turtle in the tank right now. Someone found a female 3-striped mud turtle in their yard, wasn't doing too well. We have had her in our tank for about 4 days now, she is eating and doing much better. She may be an older turtle, not sure. Trying to get her up to speed so we can release her before the cooler weather decends upon Florida.
@KugelKatzenFisch yes he is, he has already mated with her several times. So now he has four females at his disposal. I live my life vicariously through Romeo!! :)

@Remydog145 No, I don't inject CO2. Some plants live a long time, some don't. I am no plant expert, I buy them as needed. The moss does the best.
