When I watched Jake in other movies I thought he just like any other Hollywood actor, but after seeing him in Brokeback Mountain I realized he was much more than that. He is an amazing person.
I love Jake... <3 and Heath. I do think that it was brave to do this movie because there are a lot of ignorant people out there who will persecute anybody who even associates themselves with homosexuality. The fact that they were wonderful actors who played the parts respectfully and even kissed on camera (which was AMAZING) is just great.
people talk about actors being brave for taking up a role that challenges sexuality but it's really not about bravery. They're actors and to be a good actor you don't care about what people think about you offscreen, you just commit yourself to the character your playing and hope that you give the film justice.
I don't think Ang Lee could have chosen better actors for this film. Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal were perfect for these roles I personally LOVED this movie Rest In Peace Heath Ledger!

isn't it sad how he dies in the movie and "Heath" is left to mourn, but in reality, it was Heath that died and Jake was left behind to mourn his death. Almost like the movie came to life in a backwards sort of way.

isn't it sad how he dies in the movie and "Heath" is left to mourn, but in reality, it was Heath that died and Jake was left behind to mourn his death. Almost like the movie came to life in a backwards sort of way.

One of the greatest movies I've ever seen, if it wasn't that cruel in the end, it would be my Top 1, but having THAT much pain afterwards was ... hard. :(
