@chaoshacker i thought it was due to controlling, overbearing parents who shelter their children & scare them from living their own life until they're old enough to leave the house. the problem is parents are paying more attention to simple curse words than shit that actually matters. it does not matter if the kid swears at 5 or 20. eventually your child leaves the house and becomes an adult and is exposed to it regardless of your teaching.

Thank you, many would make the mistake of telling the child that it was a naughty word, thus inadvertantly teaching the child that it is a word. This mom is savy in that she will teach the child how to say "cup" correctly while ignoring the child's inadvertant homonym. I am not a parent, but hope to be a good one if I ever have the chance. I do take great pleasure however in interacting with the children in my family and the children of friends. I bet that you are good with kids too.

Well, I think this coment is pretty stupid considering that children growing up are just learning to pronounce words and leaning new sounds, it is just part of growing up.
