@ProudSmashN00b there are certain requirements that you need to make it flinch with the 3rd charge, i cant remeber all of them but i have some. (ps, this is just raw) if you are fighting the village cheif tigrex, you need at least 780 raw to flinch, felyne elder= 1020 raw, low rank(hr 1-3) you need about 810 raw, high rank= 940 raw and g-rank, i think its 2050 raw (you CAN get this much if you have attack up HIGH

no bcoz a tigrex is resistant to fire. if you are using long swords, try using True devil slicer but devil slicer and eager cleaver will do.

probably at the start of the quest he'll be in zone 5. bring 2 genprey fangs and 2 trap tools with you. go to the well behind you it's a shortcut trust me(in case you did not know) then once you get in zone 5,

run a few steps toward him and put a shock trap but still keep your distance from him as his head might hit you. do this process again and again till he becomes angry. to easily cut his tail off, whenever he is angry and jumps twice, he wil stop for a few seconds and that's your chance.

If you just want to get this mission done and have no dignity and no self respect you can easily just hide on the high ledge in 3 and 8 and they do massive damage to eachother although i did this once just to get to hr6 i had to do this misssion legally about 6 times to shake that feeling of guilt for doing it possibly the most nooby way.... ¬¬ and onslaught makes this mission a good 56% easier

i've killed that tigrex before. You need pretty darn strong armor to put up a fight against the tigrex. I'd say at least 36-40 base defense each is good. I have full tigrex armor with 56 base defense each, and Most of the time i don't die. Some times he gets cocky and kills me.

Tigrex has average hp but his speed and atk power makes him so damn hard. Its best to use shock traps on it. Flashbombs are better, if his confuse you'll be able to land more hits with him than a shock trap. However, this doesn't work most of the time.
