Love how orchestral this game was. Bullshit how you had to clock it with the shittiest weapon in the game to REALLY clock it though...That's like having to clock mortal kombat ONLY using low punch
Wow, I had really forgotten how awesome the music in this game is! There are some truly epic tracks here. Does anyone know if there exists any remasters?
i remember this game, incredibly difficult yes highly entertaining. the thing makes it hard is not the game but the fact that you cant save so you have to play fotm start to finish, took me about 8-12 hours to complete, maybe more
This game was obscenely difficult. I got it when I was 7 years old. It took me a day to kill the first wolf. I did it at something like 5 AM on a Sunday. I remember because I ran into my parents' room, woke them up, and explained my conquest to them. That went over real well....
YES! After hours and hours and days and days I've finally reached the last boss and YES! This time I killed him! I AM THE GREATEST PLAYER THAT EVER--What? I can't rescue her? Because I need a ring? That's in the FIRST LEVEL? THAT I HAVE TO PLAY THE ENTIRE GAME AGAIN FROM START TO FINISH TO USE?? FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!!!!!!!
Played through it so many times. For me its not that hard anymore, but i NEVER EVER found the ring. I started hallucinating out of desperation.. ''You thats the ring over there in the corner! how the hell do i reach it?'' Turned out to be a ghoul. After i got send back by beloved Prin Prin i thought i just hadnt searched enough and just quit.
I can't beat the final boos with that damn ring weapon that is required. I beat the boss, but had to go all the way back to lvl 1 and reach the end with that damn, weak ring weapon.
I beat almost 5 levels of this game in less than a month. Just a matter of keeping the golden armor for the powerup ability. While performing a charged move...you are invincible. You are also invincible for a few seconds after you finish the move.
this game has broken me down and crushed my spirits. I have played MANY shitty games on many systems many of which have made me mad and make me swear and rant but never have I ever found a game so completly annoying but so incredibly addictive. I want to stop but I just cant let the game beat me so I just gotta keep playing more levels driving myself deeper into insanity. I hate this game more than any I have ever played and yet its one of my favorite games of all time.
wow, I played the NES version and the Genesis version, but never the SNES version. The music in these games is epic... I love the Genesis version music during level 2: burning village
i used to be so good at this game but recently i tried to play it again and the game made me its bitch. I think games nowadays have made me a lazy, less skilled gamer.
true the same happened to me(with contra and others) , i think that games today are more lame cause new gamers suck big time, that happened to twilight princess i mean you can finish it with only 3 fingers in both hands....and i im a big zelda fan
No i didnt mean that zelda actually sucks i meant what you are saying....about lazy minds on lazy bodies.....and i love zelda twilight princess i mean the game could have been muche more better than it was released...i mean watch the first trailers.and youll see that theres a "BIG" difference between the first ideas and the final cut....
Man i remember watching my dad play super nintendo when i was young and he was so pro at this, act raiser, and un squadron...and i learned everything i knew about DK country from him
Classic music. I remember this game being fooking solid as hell. I think I got to level 3 and that was the best I could do (this is going back years though lol).
All of my memories of this game consist of agony and fustration. So much pain to get to the last level, beat the "last" boss only for the stupid princess tell me I gotta do it all over again.
The first stage theme? The first arcade game (1985) was composed by Ayako Mori. It was later arranged by Tamayo Kawamoto for Ghouls 'n' Ghosts (1988) with an extra theme tacked on. Finally, Mari Yamaguchi arranged Kawamoto's version for the SNES.
Well, they won't be mp3s, but if you watch the intro video on my channel, you'll get a link where you can download the soundtrack. Turning that into mp3s afterwards isn't too difficult.
Wait... Did you just call this very obviously an Action/Platformer with a time limit... an RPG? Please tell me you meant to leave this comment someplace else... -_-
Not surprisingly, it's music almost identical to Aladdin, also for the SNES, also by Capcom.

I used to get so pissed off when I'd lose Arthur's gold suit due to a cheap enemy attack or miscalculated jump.

IWBTG was the one who stole this.
ifarterd20 2 years ago 2
It's not stealing,
it's parodying. Kinda like Spaceballs is a parody of Star Wars.
Or Like the Simpsons Hit and Run is a Parody is Grand Theft Auto.

Games back in the day were only 2d and one sided so the key was mostly smart timing and instant calculation on the part of the player.
Games today require more fast reflexes and inventive thinking.
