i remember this game, incredibly difficult yes highly entertaining. the thing makes it hard is not the game but the fact that you cant save so you have to play fotm start to finish, took me about 8-12 hours to complete, maybe more

Played through it so many times. For me its not that hard anymore, but i NEVER EVER found the ring. I started hallucinating out of desperation.. ''You thats the ring over there in the corner! how the hell do i reach it?'' Turned out to be a ghoul. After i got send back by beloved Prin Prin i thought i just hadnt searched enough and just quit.

I beat almost 5 levels of this game in less than a month. Just a matter of keeping the golden armor for the powerup ability. While performing a charged move...you are invincible. You are also invincible for a few seconds after you finish the move.

I have played MANY shitty games on many systems many of which have made me mad and make me swear and rant but never have I ever found a game so completly annoying but so incredibly addictive. I want to stop but I just cant let the game beat me so I just gotta keep playing more levels driving myself deeper into insanity. I hate this game more than any I have ever played and yet its one of my favorite games of all time.

The first stage theme? The first arcade game (1985) was composed by Ayako Mori. It was later arranged by Tamayo Kawamoto for Ghouls 'n' Ghosts (1988) with an extra theme tacked on. Finally, Mari Yamaguchi arranged Kawamoto's version for the SNES.
