You're correct that was an awful interview. They had a brilliant man and treated him like Lindsay Lohan There is so much more he could have said. What a waste!
I've seen David Rosenburg do much better interviews... he looked annoyed at the interview's bad questions. E.g. "You've got about 15 seconds" to solve all the problems. Arghhh... it's this sort of sound bite culture that makes TV reporting SUCK.

Bad questions, bad interview.
