  • lol It almost looks like its trying to throw stuff at you

  • Are there any Ravens living in south east England ? There is a pub in Hexton called 'The Raven' but i have never seen any- plenty of Jackdaws and Carrion Crows.

  • @johnnycheck99 There are large Ravens in the Welsh hills. That's traditionally where they catch the Raven's for the Tower of London I think

  • @johnnycheck99 There are some in Hampshire.

  • More like "mildly annoyed raven" LOL!

  • As a hunter, I've been led to many elk by ravens. I can't imagine why some moron hunters want to kill & thus alienate them. Evil humans vs the Na'Vi/Pandora all over again I guess.

  • Quote The Raven Nevermore

  • My raven look with interesly

  • iorost: That is a grossly incorrect and ignorant statement on your part. Many species can drive other animals to extinction.

Predators don't care about conserving other species; all they see in other animals is food.

HUMANS are the only animals capable of making concerted efforts to rescue other animals from extinction.

A fact of which, if you opened your eyes, you would see plenty of examples.

  • Check out 'Raven's life' on My videos page. There is no music and it is longer and more dramatic

  • ....Music is a little on the shrill and distracting side....Would've preferred hearing just the raven.

*is mildly amused at the snarkage going on between different types of birds lovers and their inability to see the bigger picture with how different species affects another in each habitat*

  • Hunters are ecologists, not just people who like to kill animals. Everyone knows this.

  • @frigginjoe hahahaha thats a good one , maybe 10% are.... the rest are big fat beer drinking rednecks assholes on their ATVs

  • Check out the other Vid, Raven's Life. More action

  • Here the crows make a knockin sound ,like a woodpecker but louder, and they caw ,but the two caws are not exactly alike (raven & crow) Crows are fun to watch,as are Ravens , Crows steal small birds eggs and chicks ,even eat sparrows ,along with roadkill, larger hawks do the same to the crows..Watchin 4 crows attempt to get back their young from a hawk or falcon was interesting ,one flap by that Hawk and it was gone

  • I hunt crows and that one is not furious, four caws in a row means their curious to what is going on, three caws is a distress call that will bring crows in to the area

  • Why hunt a crow?! They cant taste good...

  • hunting them isnt horrible, they are condsidered a varmint bird. Dont get me wrong watching them is just as interesting without shooting. I would love to have one as a pet , makes a great live decoy

  • Rabbit01vw, it's no use arguing the point with crow lovers. They'll see you as horrible, regardless of your reasons.

It's like Starling lovers going after Purple Martin lovers because the latter tend to kill Starlings to protect Purple Martins. Starlings destroy Purple Martin nests and kill the babies.

But that doesn't matter to them, because you're killing Starlings! (For shame!)

  • Brenna: And the Purple Martins are losing their homes and their babies to Starlings, as are Bluejays.

Get over yourself, please, and accept the fact that humans can and will hunt one kind of animal to protect another. If you don't like it, don't release rescued crows and starlings into the wild. Keep them as pets.

  • This is hilarious. Brennna went nuts and harassed me on my user page AND mail over my comment, calling herself "a friend to ALL animals (except humans)" (HAH!) and that she loves all birds but that I should grow up and get an interest in "REAL birds, like crows."

Purple Martins--or as she called 'em, purple thingies--aren't real enough for her!

I suggest watching "Starling Attack in a Purple Martin Nest" here on YouTube. Read the comments, too. Maybe you'll understand things a bit better.

  • @beastinblack You strike me as being like Glen Beck, except that you blame capitalists for everything instead of communists and fascists.

  • @ShiggityBlam leave facsist out of tyou jewrican

  • @arcand88 Go back to /b/, kiddie.

  • @Brennna "Guess what! I'm still here and I'm going to tell someone to grow up a year after they commented about the way I harassed them in private 'cause I couldn't win an argument publicly back then! :)"

Sheesh, lady. You've got some issues!

  • @HooshIsASoup No, I'm just a regular person who gets fed up with stupid kids bothering me for no reason. I'm not hurting anyone, I don't understand why that kid verbally attacked me. I love birds. If that means I have issues then I do.

  • @Brennna You can say that, but by all accounts you're the one who's being so extremely petty you won't let it go.

I mean, he made that comment a year ago--complaining about YOU harassing HIM, no less--and yet you're the one going "I'm still here and I'm gonna call you childish and tell you to grow up! :)"

Then you have the gall to act like you're the one being victimized! That's some sweet logic, there. Call people childish a year after the fact and then claim you're the one who's the victim.

  • Hunting crows is not pathetic nor is it horrible. Crows and ravens have always been a major threat to farm animals, crops, and other wild species.

You can't teach crows not to wreck crops, kill farm animals, or endangered species. They must be hunted to keep their numbers down.

I think the word grows more pathetic with people like YOU in it. You, who would rather see crows ruin farms and drive other animals to extinction.

  • koravius: So, by calling my ideas stupid, are you saying you'd prefer a world where humans have absolutely no contact with animals at all, even in trying to protect species from extinction?

Sounds like you adhere to PETA's "segregation from animals" philosophy.

Unfortunately, your claims that crows do insignificant damage to agriculture are false; crows can and do inflict millions of dollars in damage annually, and to a wide range of crops (including almond, walnut, and pistachio crops).

  • not furious at all.

  • Wow, two minutes of a raven croaking and pecking the dirt. I guess your definition of "furious" is not the same as mine.

  • disappointing.

  • Love the vid, just annoying music like he's gonna atack you. This aint the birds!

  • more!

  • Beautiful, large nest it made... thank you for sharing. :)

  • He's like pecking at the rocks like, "I'm gonna kiilll yoouuu."

  • Whats with this IM GONNA DIE! music...people just love to exaggerate dont they

  • Thats a raven, not a crow

  • That's a furious crow? Bah, you haven't seen the ones that come around my house around 4pm every day. It's like they need to remind the whole neighborhood that they own the place. What a racket!

  • thats not really a crow

  • Thats why its a raven!

  • my point exactly!

  • totally a raven

  • yeah, its a raven and it's merely annoyed, furious raven looks different :)

  • That's one of ODINS Pet RAVENS called MUNIN !

DONT PISS HIM OFF ! He's also got a brother called HUGGIN !

  • The names are Muninn and Huginn, and they're not siblings. Go re-read your mythology.

  • Hail Odin

  • I am an ammature corvidologist and that is most certainly a raven!!! a beautiful one at that! i have "little ravens"- corvis mellori around my neighbourhood and theyr much smaller than these types shown here.

  • YAY for corvidology! I'm just getting into it a little bit myself while researching for my newest book. ^_^

  • What is the title of your last book?

  • What a beautiful raven. check out those huge throat hackles!!! Seperates the ravens from the crows.

  • Nope, I guarantee those are crows. Ravens have much more dominant forheads with bigger beaks than crows. In my city in Canada, our Ravens tower over crows by about 4 inches. LOL!!

  • There are different species of ravens, silly.

  • There are different types of raven, this one is from Ireland and like all British ravens is much bigger than a crow, and has a different voice (ravens make a sort of prruk prruk sound, crows a crarr crarr sound), Canadian ravens may not look the same but that doesn't mean it is not a British raven.

  • So are the Canadian Ravens any less intelligent than the US Ravens?

  • great

  • Dave Murray? Iron Miaden´s guitarrist

  • No but he looks like him!

  • Are your friend is professional operator? It shot very professional and reminds me some scientific film about ravens life.Generally i think the ravens are most clever birds on the Earth. Thanks to your friend for he shot it, and to u for u post it here.

  • Nice vid! Thanks for sharing it, by the way, you said your friends name was Dave Murray..... Isn't he in Iron Maiden? lol

  • thanks guys!nice vid

  • aww cute

  • Wow like you can touch them. Cool Video. Givew me more. I Love Raven

  • Doesn't look furious to me! Merely concerned about the nest and letting you know not to come too close. When they're furious, they pelt you in the head with those stones...

    Nice vid!

  • Thats cool, you should do more of these!

  • Best video of a raven on youtube. Where was it shot?

  • Thank you,

The video was filmed by a friend, Dave Murray.

A pair of ravens were nesting in Finglas Quarry in North Dublin (Ireland) in 2004.

The original is much longer but I couldn't fit it all into 100mbs.

Glad you liked it. I will tell my friend.

    Best wishes, Arthur
