I've got one of these. Mine streams off a wireless router to an audio-stack. The idea is NOT tying up a computer (& it uses way less power!). It may work in a car w/ the proper DC adapter, radio patch (e.g. cassette adapter) & public wi-fi (think the idea, however, is for it to stay static).

Nice device...good video...I read the review on your blog, but i didn't quite understood if this device can be used in a car...for example with an usb modem, (like those for laptops) and the power from the lighter socket. Otherwise i don't see the purpose of this device, if it's not "moveable" than you could easily stream from your laptop or from a home pc....outputting your sound to a 5.1 or hifi. Thanks.
