What a great video, it has brought back some wonderful memories for me of Lafayette ,I'm from Ireland and lived in lafayette for 2 years back in the 1990's and all I can say is that Lafayette is beautiful city with wonderful people and is a real credit to all...........I miss the gumbo!!

Lafayette is a fun city ---- not too big, not too small. The music scene is pretty good, the food is good, the people are friendly, it has a college town feel but it has a normalcy that is nice as well. During the 80's Lafayette was a major oilfield hub and it had one of highest ratios of millionaires/capita in the country --- I suppose it still is a major oilfield city. It has its problems but all in all it is a nice place.

Downtown Lafayette seems so much more interesting than downtown Lake Charles! I just turned fifteen not to long ago and may moving to Lafayette sometime soon, I hope to be able to get a job around the downtown area..

I absolutely agree.. a toe tapping delight! Love the Triangle... I can play a little on the guitar... mostly when I was young... need to get some practice and start playing Cajun!!! We could start a band...hahaha!!
