  • Can we make carrot kimchi??? I just found your channel and I am totally loving it :)

  • @ClaudinaAizpuru That's AWESOME! To answer your question, I've never done just straight up carrots. I have, however, taken a similar paste to a combination of Cucumbers and Carrots, skipping the Salt Water Bath altogether. I find that it needs to be eaten up waaay quicker though. Hope this helps ;)

  • those radishes are HUGE..i've never seen any at my grocery store that large.

  • @henryblazer20 lol...my dad got them from his friend at Church. Apparently, he grows them.

  • Nice recipe! Do you ever make dduk bok gi?

  • @sbrebrown I JUST finished taping my ddukbokgi video!!! It should be up this weekend or next week! That's awesome---we're both on the same wave length!!!

  • @TheSquishyMonster Clearly, great minds think alike ;-).

  • I love kimchi! I've never had the radish version - it looks so easy to make - I'll have to try it :)

  • @AsianCookingmadeEasy I hope you do Lila!!!

  • My wife makes several gallons of this at a time. It seems that few of her friends ever bothered to learn how to cook, and our son thinks of kimchi of just about any sort is comfort food.

His wife still seems a little put off by it. Oh, well. I hope the grandkids learn to like it.

  • @leftysergeant that is AWESOME! I love to meet people who love Kimchi!!!

  • u talk too much T__T

  • @joanna8ddd I definitely do, lol

  • @bytonynguyen that means a lot Tony!!!!

  • Looks super easy,

I've heard once that it makes you slim,

    is that true?

and we only have wheat flour here in Egypt,

so I'll try it and let you know :)

  • @TheQueenKoKo some Korean ladies swear by it. I personally don't know too many obese Koreans but this can also be attributed to the fact that in Korea, there's A LOT of walking and even here, in my household, we eat a lot of fish and raw veggies along with our Kimchi

  • LOVE IT

  • I love the stuff....that looks fantastic :)

  • I've never had kimchi because I just can't deal with the heat but this looked yummy :) love your nail polish color btw :)

  • Whoa! that's a lot of pepper , I've never had it before but kimchi ROCKz!

I'm totally going to have to try that

  • @AllenGraph I hope you do Allen! If the teeny tiny baby shrimp don't scare you (but I bet you could make a monster for that)!!! =D

  • Kimchi, new to me..but it really looks good, so maybe i should try it :)

  • @hysonly definitely do! I love it especially with Spaghetti, lol

  • @cheskydivision I think it's so awesome that you're sharing different foods with your kids. You're an AWESOME parent!!

  • Nice kimchi Angie! You know me I LOVE it! Looks delicious!

  • @MrEZCooking as I was uploading this, I thought to myself..."Rich will appreciate this!"

  • This is my favorite kimchee!!!

How long will the unused paste last and how long can you keep the pickled kimchee in your refrig.?

Would you please post the recipe?

    Thanks for sharing!!!

  • @LifeAfter40IsGood my pleasure! the whole thing is posted on my blog. I use my unused paste within the month (I hear it freezes forever) and Kimchi according to my dad NEVER goes bad...personally, I'd eat it within 3-4 months (but opinions greatly differ on how long it stretches). I had Kimchi Jjigae (soup) in Korea that was made with Kimchi that was fermented for 3 years!!! Can you imagine?!

  • I love the small history/cultural commentary at the beginning. :D

I love so many things when it comes to learning about different cultures, but food is definitely my favorite thing to discover. Haha!
