  • Jackiej61too thank you.

This Elvis renditon of this song is my favorite

  • he is come from stars like US

  • THE VOICE the SONG

  • i am 58 it just made me cry for the first time in 50 years

  • Elvis was KING!

  • Who wouldn't name their kid Elvis?

  • I BELIEVE I LOVE THIS SONG SND THIS MAN!!!!! THANKS, JACKIE.

  • King of Gospel

  • I believe in love for mankind and for the person with whom you are madly in love and I believe you can overcome your fears, but only if you want to, if it means enough to you.

  • R.I.P. King...

  • Im crying at this my grandad used to play this and i totaly forgot about it until i heard elvis singing it Love you Elvis.

  • Always liked this song..but whaen Elvis sings it i LOVE IT!!

    Thanks for the upload!

    Marion~

  • just beautiful.

  • This song was adapted into Arabic in the 1960's as a Christmas carol by legendary Lebanese singer Fairouz, entitled Oumin, which is an interwoven form of the noun "iman", meaning faith in Arabic...it's just as mesmerising and touching...

  • Happy birthday my sweet father once again....... You and mother made me what i am today........ I love this song

  • Thanks for this Jackiej61too. I first heard this when I bought the "Peace in the Valley" EP in 1957. Along with the title song were "Precious Lord, Take My Hand," "It Is No Secret" and, of course, "I Believe." Eventhough we fans had read Elvis first sang in church and had some feeling for gospel music, after all the hard rockin' hits and the adult disdain for his negative influence, it was pretty amazing when this EP showed up in the record stores with its four gospel songs--gospel proof!

  • brilliant!

  • Just beautiful!

  • Fabulous, just fabulous, ELvis can never be compared to anyone, he was is and always will be the greatest singer/entetainer of all time, he will never be beaten and no one will ever come close to being as great as he is.

  • Very beautiful!

  • I used to listen to this when I was way lost on drugs, I am sober now and I still love this!!

  • Elvis is a Christian musician but he chooses the world's music and we don't know if he turned back again to God before he died.............

  • @MrSlashattack He never lost his faith

  • @MsELVISLOVER yES He did.......he choose the world.........and not contented as a church musician...he choose fame..........

  • @MrSlashattack Being famous doesnt neccessarily mean he chose the world. He was catapulted into fame. He felt uncomfortable with most of it . That doesnt mean he wasn't a Christian. Fame has nothing to do with salvation. its about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

  • @MrSlashattack we hope so...by God's grace.

  • Had I not been an Elvis fan as a youngster I most likely would not have gained an appreciation for gospel music... He alone opened my mind to this.

  • "I BELIEVE: To all Mercados of the Philippines, if you still don't believe that Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life, then no explanation is possible. I hope you will BELIEVE in CHRIST as Lord , Saviour and God as Elvis Presley did." - Dr. Aida Mercado Magalong,DSM

  • I Believe, beautiful song Elvis , the king! I love the voice!

  • JESUS ONLY IS KING ... and Elvis was God's gift to humanity to bring glory back to his Creator - GOD. =)

  • @JohnPiperBoots Uh, Elvis brought more hearts aflutter than to salvation.

  • One of the 1st songs I ever learned was this one by Elvis. It was so nice hearing it again after all these years.

  • But I believe he was here & he sang the song not many would believe but I believe,

The Great man loved he's Curry,

  • Top class Elvis & Myself had a curry in my

    Back kitchen tonite,

    He sang this song,!!!!!!!!

    Unbelievable, :-)'

  • ABSOLUTELY SPLENDID !!!!!!!! Elvis was able to sing other songs that "R'nR", and so well !!!!

  • Just beautiful Jackie as always. Thank you so much for sharin your wonderful videos with us. They are always so beautiful. Have a wonderful week ahead. God Bless, Hugs & Smiles, Love, Jan

  • I use to sing this song all the time. It truly has a great meaning for me. Not especially because Elvis sang it, but because I believe in it. Elvis does a great job.

  • Beautiful song ,beautifully sung.

  • I believe

  • Such a timeless message in this beautiful song! Nice lay-out of photos as well.

  • For sheer emotion and depth of soul, this rendition by Elvis cannot be beaten.

  • elvis brought gospel to my life- now i just love gospel (only his songs) and this one is one of my favorites

  • Sorry folks, I loved and still love Elvis and this is good, but not his best gospel song. Elvis wins hands down for his version of "How Great Thou Art"; it has never been done better, but as far as "I Believe" goes, Tom Jones has this one by a long shot!!

  • These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

    (1 Corinthians 2:13 MKJV)

For we, having the same spirit of faith (according as it is written, "I believed, and therefore I have spoken"); we also believed and therefore speak,

    (2 Corinthians 4:13 MKJV)

  • Music doesn't get better than this! Thanks so much for sharing it.

  • uh huh...sure. A man of God.

  • This gorgeous song will be played at my funeral

  • @CarlFilipsLinda - great comment, one of the best :D

ps - I too really loved this song

  • @CarlFilipsLinda Mine to...

  • @CarlFilipsLinda To be honest, then you should play Frankie Laine's version of the song. He's in another league.

  • i have heard many versions of this conway twitty, billy fury, but this is the winner for me by miles the emotion in this track and the almost crying at the end as always sent shivers down my spine cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very beautiful!

  • I never would have thought he recorded it in 1957. Good to know that. I thought it was from 1960.

  • Hey I just want to say I'm 27 and Elvis will never die. He will live on again and again through his music. His music is so powerful it cannot be denied.

  • one love

  • my grandfather died last month and i listen to this song to remember him by. it brings my father to tears every time he listens to this, but he doesn't care because he misses his dad so much. RIP.

  • The KING was well into religion back in his day. Unfortunately like a lot of many artists, he got hooked on drugs and that was the beginning of the end of him.

  • YouTube needs a revision. It does not allow you to edit your own comments or undo your own erroneous ratings. It is also borked when it comes to sorting comments by date. I did not mean to thumb down FWW7450's comment, but I could not undo it. Sorry about that.

  • This one grips my soul... and won't let go..... Sometimes it's actually too much for me to listen to it.

  • Another great video Jackie. Some lovely pics of Elvis when he was a young guy.

  • He opened the doorstep to many a young artist whether nowing it ot not, this is one song that has been opened to countless singers.....ty for uploading.

  • Written by Ervin drake, Irvin Graham, Jimmy Shirl, and Al Stillman. Elvis recorded it on January 12, 1957 at Radio Recorders. RCA chose take #9 for release. It is available on Elvis Christmas Album, Youll Never Walk Alone, The King of Rock n Roll: The Complete 50s Masters, and Amazing Grace: His Greatest Sacred Songs.

  • @Jackiej61too ithink elvis music is fantastic all his music love all from gospel too rock n roll thank you

  • @Jackiej61too I believe that everyone that goes astray an angel follows! Christ!

  • Great video thanks ;)

  • This is such a very beautiful, inspiring, powerful and meaningful song and Elvis' rendition of it was absolutely perfect in every way. Elvis will always be the greatest singer, entertainer and phenomenon. Elvis will also always have the greatest voice and the greatest fans. I loved this video a whole lot, 10 Stars as always Jackie.
