Smittybilt XRC8 Winch - One of the Best Off Road Parts of 2008

Just installed a Smityt winch on my wifes 2005 3/4 ton Hd Diesel truck. We tucked it underneath the bumper. I had a excellent fabricator do it.. Video to follow of the installation.

These winches are pure junk and product support sucks too. Motor started smoking from day one and I took it to a professional that rebuilds starters after getting nowhere with product support. Turned out to be a manufacturing defect with the motor bearings. So I dont recommend this winch to anyone. If you think im just one upset customer google for product reviews on this winch. There are a few happy customers but most are not.

will the xrc8 work on a 1990 bronco? i have only seen them on jeeps and one FJ.

The XRC8 is rated at 8000 lbs. so it should be more than capable of taking care of your Bronco.

@murry2010 you could qalways grab a snatch block setup, a snatch block and double your line back will give you almost 16,000 lbs of pulling power.
