@CarlyBeanie I really expected Beth would follow him to CA. I was disappointed that she didn't. But maybe it was more realistic than a typical hollywood, fairy tale ending. But this song at the captured the mood.
This song always takes be back when I was going away for college for the first time. I was so scared to go away and hated the fact that I was no more a child and I had to take responsibility for my actions. This song put it all together.

The movie is about a man struggling with Aspergers syndrome named Adam. He meets a girl and she helps him cope with his condition in the world. I think it's an amazing story, I hope this gives you enough without ruining the movie.

@nobusan84 Both Adam and Beth needed each other. But more than that, they were dependent on each other to a point where they would never succeed in their goals because of that. Hence, the fact that Beth left Adam, Adam became more social, worked at a successful place. Beth, wrote a book, fulfilling a part of her goal or dream.
