i had heard it was because the beat was a sample of "Long Time Coming" by Sam Cooke and they couldn't get the clearance to use it, so he had to take it off the album
@hiphopsince1980 the original purple haze leaked so a lot of the songs got taken out. I got hold of the original 1 and I'd say it was better than the one that came out. some cold songs unfortunately got took out
