Thanks for this post I have been blessed since seeing Glass Harp (1970)and I have been a Phil fan all the rest of my life I thank God for Phil's gift
do you have and can you post the song " I love you Lord " with the vocals ? it was on one of the earlier ( Glass Harp ) albums I can't remember which,
Thanks may "The Lord " bless you in full measure !
Interesting Keaggy anecdote: A friend of mine (an outrageous youth pastor at the time) decided he would lay down in front of the car Phil was riding in so that Phil would have to stop and meet him. His nutty plan worked. I met Phil years later at a guitar conference and, yes, Phil still remember my friend Dave!
I had the privilege of meeting Phil at the Dallas Guitar Show a few years back with some friends. He had a large audience of un-churched blown away. Guitar player Phil is one thing; Phil the man is even better. What an awesome individual.
This song has a lot of meaning to me. I listened to it a great deal about a decade and a half ago while I was trying to escape Mormonism along with my wife and family.
For a long time it looked as if I was literally going to lose everything I cherished if I left the religion in which I was raised in order to follow Jesus. And it has been a challenge. But my family is intact and I find myself weeping at the keyboard as I listen to this song, thinking of the incomparable goodness of my Savior.
Awesome96969 said what I'm thinking very well! Thank you for posting this! I've been trying to find the Town To Town album on CD but haven't had any luck. I have the album but no player! It's good to hear this favorite song this side of heaven !!
Thank you for posting! I have been searching for this "old school " christian music for sooo long! It brought tears to my eyes! Saw Keaggy in 80's in California at Marriott's Great America amusement park in 1982.Thank you again.
I took my two sons to see this tour last year and of course it was outstanding...... my sons grew up hearing me play his albums/cd's and they understand how special he is. It's also great to know how humble he is about his talent.
Got Saved in 81' n saw Keaggy a few times in Buffalo n Fort Erie Ont. This is one of his most influential songs to me. Cant wait to see you Jesus face to face!!!!
Have not heard this one for sooo many years now. Thanks so much for posting this truly inspirational reminder. Great song then and still a great song now :)
Yes, this is such a great song. I haven't heard it for awhile. That whole album is tops! "The wind is at our back..."it always has been and always will be.Thanks Scott for the Love and the Share. Face to Face...
"Nothing can compare to what YOU are, let everything elso go" If only we could just do that, it is the truth, love YOU Lord. Great performance here, Phil and Dan Huff are Christian music's gift to the guitar.
The other guitarist, the one playing the intro, is Ric Hordinski. All of these musicians were absolutely amazing. Best concert I've ever attended, and I've been to hundreds of concerts!
You're the bomb Mr. Keaggy.

WOW! Jesus the Lord of all!
Oh I can't wait to see you Jesus, face to face,
Nothing in this world can take Your place.
All the pride of man laid low,
And all his works of gold,
Nothing can compare with what You are,
Let everything else go.
