Last I checked HP has some laptops with GPUs vastly superior to the 9600mGT.

You can get a sub$1000 HP with the mobile radeon 4650.

open CL would work with both Mac Windows and Linux. thats why Mac is more compatible. OpenComputerLanguage. OpenGL OpenGraphicsLanguage.

OpenCL came to Linux and Windows first... and it's yet to be used for anything.

However... Windows also has CUDA(nVidia, portable to ATi) and CTM(ATi-only) and DirectX 11 can do GPGPU.

no, 128 mb video ram is minimum requirement.

I'm on 512MB RAM, 1.3Ghz, and 16MB integrated video. It runs pretty much as fast as XP did.

Nice work. You should do more videos. I'm going to be doing a new build in the next couple of months and I wish this was out already. Looks like I'll probably go with Vista 64 and go to 7 when I can.
