such an underappreciated movie! I purchased the VHS the day it was released and prooobably watched it once a day, EVERY day, for a year . . . . o.o just think this November will be the 10 year anniversary since it's theatrical release... *feels old*
You're completely right about it being different from anything disney has done in the past & it's also different from anything they've done after 2002. I think they're starting to lose their touch a little bit.
@maskeyfilmz117 I think they are just in one of their reinventing phases - it has been that way since the beginning, after a phase of success, they always have a time during which the skit at the edge. But Tangled was certainly a great movie, so I have the feeling that they go towards success again, now that they have a better idea what to do with the CGI and 3D trend.
@maskeyfilmz117 I totally agree about tangled and 90% of the movies they make now are good, but i just hate disney channel.:p that's just bogus. And i guess 3D okay, but i wouldn't know because i was born without vision in my right eye and therefore can't actuallly see 3D. :)
:D I love Treasure Planet, it's my favorite animated movie and pwns all other Disney movies! Although, How to Train your dragon is a close second. Treasure Planet is a movie that kinda gives more of a realistic sense to the characters, Silver isn't all bad like most other villans are, he's got a soul and ends up sharing a bit of it with Jim as Jimbo does the same with Silver, giving the other a position in their lives that neither one will ever forget :,D
Great job! I really enjoyed watching your breakdown of Treasure Planet. . . which is more than I can say of others who've tried the same thing. I was throughly entertained. :D Props to you for using Monty Python references too.
I like when you said "And what follows, is in my opinion, one of the coolest endings to and animated film...EVER!" Lol, I said it with you. I can't help but grin so wide when I see that part :D
Yh I read the book and watched the movie I really love it, and I recommend it to everyone as well

"And then they meet ben. oh, dear god. " yeah, that was my reaction upon re-watching this movie.
i like your editing on the star wars part.
i am also glad that i am not the only one to catch the star trek reference.

i don't know why you put random LOTR in there, but a LOTR reference is a good reference in my books. :)
