Fantastic mix and editing. Great job. I can sense the foreboding, fear, but possible resolution and determination in the dead of the night. Its as these 2 guys are getting ready for impending doom and confrontation. I love this.
I've seen this one, Tim Tebow is in it later on. He hangs out with Crotchit and Tubbs enough to spend five minutes or 20 and their lives were better for it.
ArtSack - very nice. Funny how music can put you in a time and place no matter how old or where you are at. I remember listening to my dad 73 now singing songs in the car and me wondering why the heck he was so nostalgic but now I think I get it!!
sad.................but true. I sometimes wish I could relive that decade. I would do a few things differently. Definitely would have made a point of seeing Iva and Icehouse. I regret that.
Imagine, you're 17 yrs old in the 80's. You're responsible but get into the occasional bit of trouble. You just left your girlfriends house after watching Miami Vice with her and her parents. You go to 7-11 to feed a couple of quarters into Donkey Kong and Asteroids. It's a warm summer night, you get a cold drink and head home, the windows down with this song blaring on the radio. Times are good and you can feel the excitement in the air... you're world is just beginning / changing...No Promises
there is something so gay about this, but its cool at the same time. Maybe its because the 80's has come back now in a big way.. Icehouse definitely had its fair share of classics indeed. The other cool scene is where Phillip Michael Thomas is dancing to that Rockwell song "keep on watching me" in the strip club..
This is FUCKING cool!!! I had this song on tape when it came out and grew up on this show so...HELLYEAH! great posting and idea!!! But is it me or does Tubbs look at Crockett like he wants Crockett???
Well done. I've gotta say as much as "In The Air Tonight" was a good fit for this scene, this track adds a new dimension. You've gotta know the track and have experienced it the first time to fully appreciate it. But you can almost put yourself in that car and feel the night wind. In fact the next time I have a convertible again, I'm gonna crank this on a hot night and bomb down the highway...
"the next time I have a convertible again, I'm gonna crank this on a hot night and bomb down the highway..."
Now that's what I'm talking about!!!
The cars, the cops, the clothes, the music... Miami Vice was THE show to get hooked on for a teen in the 80's. And I'm also a huge Icehouse fan. This video/music combo is the best ever!!!
This reminds me of the 80's back when I used to fly kilos up from the Bahamas in a piper cub

why doesnt iva release music dvds on the web?
you'd think a gadget loving guy would get his stuff out there for his fans.
some of his live versions beat the ones on cd :)

I recall this song in the movie The House of the Rising Son, which was very film noir and very good.

You've definitely captured the sentiment of that time and that feeling. I remember many nights like that at age 17, in 1985 growing up in Miami.

nicely meshed tune to the time. I would have never picked this for the modern MV but you made good match here for the 80's

my ICEHOUSE with some very cool guys from the 80ties. This video is really 80ties - great crime series, with fantastic clothes and great music...

Great match. This was one of my favorite songs from the '80s and it would have worked perfectly for this scene.
