Excellent; If you can find a piano that's not up against a wall, could you please repost with the camera closest to your right side, and a little higher? Much appreciated...
Your right hand looks little bit weird. The main thing how to play this piece correctly is that your right hand is fully relaxed. Check some professional versions from this piece and look at the right hand. I can't play this piece very well yet, but I think I will post video from it when it's ready. Maybe you should play it with lower speed and then speed it up little by little. I hope you will post better version from this piece someday.
i been playing piano on and off since i was 18 and after watching various etude op10 no1 on youtube have started learning it,it really is a satisfying piece for the fingers to play
I did try to play left hand legato, all the substitutions I make were meant for that but then I admit I didn't put much effort into it xD
Also my piano doesn't help, the sound so "hollow" bass don't resonate I have to make such hard and large movement to pull off a FF forcing me to kill the legato...
Anyway, I didn't work enough on that piece that's for sure^^
Hello, that's not bad but you're going to be stop in your progress soon and you won't play faster . Why? you're right hand is too high, your thumb is often out of the piano, you're too tense. Soon as possible, i will play it and show exercice to practise it.
I agree I'm too tense, I wish I could relax my hands and wrists more but believe me, it's best I can considering how INSANELY hard the keys are to push down... it's a mechanical issue due to an electronic system installed for "silent piano" and to a crappy invention called "Action Replay" which adds an extra spring to the hammers to force it back faster supposedly to help repeating better ><
it's just sad and stupid, I'm looking if I can change piano but it's a big enterprise :/
well like I said, I just play it once at the beginning of every session since I don't play 8hours straight it would be unreasonable :P
and hmm that's about it, I started it maybe one or 2 months ago something like that... kinda wierd I never tried it until now, it's the kind of piece I would've loved when I was younger^^
bravoo! ^^
