Awe, comparing Kermit to Mickey. That's sort of fitting, seeing as Mickey was one of the many who supported Kermit after Jim died. It's fantastic when the stars you love the most are as good as you think they are.
@PatrickLMT I absolutely agree. This show introduced me to all the greats. I'll add that it included those who were less pop culture. For example, Zero Mostel, Rudolf Nureyev, Beverly Sills, etc. Nowadays, you won't see opera singers or ballet dancers on tv.
I watch alot of old muppet shows. I love Ethel Merman. Thier are times her songs are stuck in my head. I like the funny part, "Can You bake a pie? No... Niether can I." Lol
I love Ethel. I hop it will not be considered ungracious of me, in the face of the other very talented artists who have sum my songs and helped them along to popularity, to confess that I;d rather writ for Ethel than anyone else in the world.
Every composer has his favorite, and she is mine----- Cole Porter
Hey sorry i put the wrong time on Its around 6:45 when Scooter right after he says '"Its Delicious.' His eyes look very odd. Stop right on 6:46 to see.
She may not have the greatest voice, but it was very loud (which was important in the days before microphones) and she had a talent for upstaging people. She was like a real life Miss Piggy, which made her perfect for comedies.
Yeah, "Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better" is the perfect song for them, especially since Miss Piggy is sometimes rivals with the female guest stars.
@horsegirl2022 she was voiced by Frank Oz

Ethel Merman doesn't look much like a merman, especially since she's a woman. :-)
