Those games hold so many amazing memories for me and it's sad to see what they call socom nowadays :/ I think all of the us vets were excited to see them build on their success and keep refining a great game until it was absolutely perfect. The Team AI is BS. The commands are not voice commands like in the old games no headset/Bluetooth use. The only thing I liked was the graphics. In the old Games you are going missions in other countries, but in Socom 4, you are in one geographic area. I got bored and went back to playing SOCOM 1-3 and Combined Assault.
You are brilliant sir! Socom 4 has completely deviated from the Socom franchise in an attempt to assimilate and be more like main stream games such as Call of Duty. This game was a disgrace to the Socom Franchise and it is clear that Zipper Interactive had their head so far up their ass since there wasn't ONE SINGLE WATER MISSION. It didn't feel at all like I was playing Socom, but rather I was stuck in the middle of some crappy action movie with a John Wayne wanna be.

Anyone still play SOcom CA? these mo'fo's be callin me a cheater and i dont even cheat. i play with a small community of good (well some just blow) legit players in ranked rooms. I put alot of time into this game and am really good. I have vid's to show my legitimacy. However they still think i cheat. I have a 1.6k/d and most of them are at 1.0 or under.
It also has a MAG feel to this game... as soon as BF3 comes out I will never touch socom again. It just doesent feel like socom or I am missing something just my opinion.
@felixofla101 I like the game about 20% of the time roughly...The rest of the time I'm trying to apply ice and pressure to the giant vein in my forehead. I had plans of making that video on the day the game was released because I didn't think they would have a beta for you and the rest of you guys to make an educated decision without putting your money on the table. Even if Sony decided to have Socom 2 remade it wouldn't be the Socom game everyone wants it to be. What I mean by that is that every online shooter game these days constantly goes through patches and tweaks to guns/weapons/armor,etc. It may still have the same general layout but it wouldn't feel the same. I really liked the voice acting and the cut scenes. They actually gave this game a legit story, something not usually seen in shooters. Yeah it wasn't amazing but atleast they tried. This was not a review but rather a video talking about all of the negative points in this game.
I'm happy and sad to say this; played the beta and knew then I could but wouldn't buy this game. I never thought I'd say this but I'd rather play confrontation than this man and we all know how bad confrontation was. I'll just continue to watch your videos man. The psn was down since this game came out, I finally get back online and there is already a cheater with freaking level 40 character and every gun maxed out... I'm hoping zipper resets stats and fixes every god damn thing wrong with this game... Which is everything!. Listen to your fans zipper!.... @Blackwido88 I'm starting to get the impression that socom wasn't great just because of gameplay, but the experiences. Socom 4 falls flat on some of the gameplay (movement speed, no crouch/stand position, headshots are screwed up, L1 aim gives you laser accuracy), and that hurts the experience by ripping the community to shreds and making it less enjoyable to just play. The worst part about socom 4 is that I have a feeling that Zipper never even tried to make a game for the fans.
@itiztony yeah they only care about selling games and they have said "fuck the fans" in so many words when u hear interviews with some of the devlopers. i still play it though the patch schedule looks like it may help the game. i decided not to sell it and wait for the patch's before i stop playing
One thing I wouldn't mind if they added more DLC single player style mission like tradition SOCOM missions although I'm not expecting DLC single player mission even closely related to traditional SOCOM but I didn't mind the COOP missions but Stealth needs to be added more into not dedicated stealth like 45's mission style and I want to be able to alternate my teams weapons too bad it's an all new experience you know but I haven't played S4 in awhile.

i agree with the headshots they need to do something about that also two shots three or something like that for 1 headshots. I would be walking along minding my own business when some random bullet hits me it pisses me off then i have to wait 10 seconds to spawn... its frustrating i just stick with classic mode. o yeah they moved the camera angle again and added the dot to the crosshairs hopefully the patch is up when psn comes back to life.... effin psn!!!!

Socom 4 Single Player IS GARBAGE!!!!! The worst experience ever. All the previous Socom games their single player campaign was good. You had options to do things. I'd play Fireteam Bravo 3 on the PSP than the PS3 Single player, at least it was way more fun to get into

I put alot of time into this game and am really good. I have vid's to show my legitimacy. However they still think i cheat. I have a 1.6k/d and most of them are at 1.0 or under.

@felixofla101 I like the game about 20% of the time roughly...The rest of the time I'm trying to apply ice and pressure to the giant vein in my forehead. By no means am I digging this game like some Socom.com nut hugging forum troll. But I have confidence that EVENTUALLY this game will be patched/updated etc...and it will be a pretty decent game...NEVER A SOCOM GAME THOUGH...It just goes too far with the COD/Uncharted mocking. I feel like I'm playing another title that emulates socom a little.

I spend about 80% of the time playing this game pissed off. But its worth it to get 20% enjoyment out if it when I finally break through the middle and flank 5 or 6 faggot ass campers.

PLEASE ZIPPER for the love of god bring this man on board!!!!! I am willing to bet a bunch of his subscribers would donate a dollar a week to pay his salary. You guys have tried many times now and failed doing it your way......this is the only way to succeed (by letting the true vets/fans construct the game for you, all you have to do it dev).

Even if Sony decided to have Socom 2 remade it wouldn't be the Socom game everyone wants it to be. What I mean by that is that every online shooter game these days constantly goes through patches and tweaks to guns/weapons/armor,etc. It may still have the same general layout but it wouldn't feel the same. Sony and the developer who created it wouldn't just be like oh ok here you go and leave it at that. If anything Socom 2 HD would be worse than Socom 2 and Sony probably wouldn't make much pro

I really liked the voice acting and the cut scenes. They actually gave this game a legit story, something not usually seen in shooters. Yeah it wasn't amazing but atleast they tried. This was not a review but rather a video talking about all of the negative points in this game.

@Blackwido88 I'm starting to get the impression that socom wasn't great just because of gameplay, but the experiences. Socom 4 falls flat on some of the gameplay (movement speed, no crouch/stand position, headshots are screwed up, L1 aim gives you laser accuracy), and that hurts the experience by ripping the community to shreds and making it less enjoyable to just play. The worst part about socom 4 is that I have a feeling that Zipper never even tried to make a game for the fans.

One thing I wouldn't mind if they added more DLC single player style mission like tradition SOCOM missions although I'm not expecting DLC single player mission even closely related to traditional SOCOM but I didn't mind the COOP missions but Stealth needs to be added more into not dedicated stealth like 45's mission style and I want to be able to alternate my teams weapons too bad it's an all new experience you know but I haven't played S4 in awhile.

i agree with the headshots they need to do something about that also two shots three or something like that for 1 headshots. I would be walking along minding my own business when some random bullet hits me it pisses me off then i have to wait 10 seconds to spawn... its frustrating i just stick with classic mode. o yeah they moved the camera angle again and added the dot to the crosshairs hopefully the patch is up when psn comes back to life.... effin psn!!!!

When you turn up the difficulty in this game the gameplay is just stupid. All of the enemys turn into aimbods and its just stupid.

totally agree, I would really like for a company to actually release a game that isnt trash. i mean game after game put on the shelf is just trash, putting my eggs in the BF3 basket and hopefully they'll hatch. whats the wort that can happen another failure....

i just rented this game this week, hopefully sony actually does something with psn before i have to take it back, and i agree with you on just about everything. i am an extreme single player enthusiast, i always play single player before online, and this games single player is crap compared to the ps2 socoms
