  • I don't know whether I'd love or hate to see Jeeves' reaction to my dad's Wallace and Gromit tie...

  • Jeeves: ಠ_ಠ

  • @JMaggot69 ,':/

  • I'm American and this is one of my favorite shows!

    thanks for the upload!

  • At 2:50 there is real tea in the cup, these days it would be empty. I feel like that's a backwards step lol.

  • "I assumed it had gotten into ur by mistake sir. Or else placed there by your enimies."

Jeeves. I love you. I love you SOOOOO MUCH.

  • thank you so much for posting this.... love it

  • HOUSE

  • Thanks for posting. A good series of clips, it deserves higher res.

  • I love: The one with the white jacket, the one with the mustache, and the last one--"It has little horse shoes on it. It's sometimes difficult to just shrug these tings off, sir."

  • Gregory Houae!!!!

  • "Don't listen Jeeves" and "Our hat rack"

  • this URL ends in 'fry'...!!!

  • I always feel good when I see a P. G. Wodehouse. It reminds me of cucumber sandwiches and cold lemon and barley, on a hot summers day in England. AHHH

Rock on Jeeves. A big double Quack

  • "Mr Little's tie sir, it has little horseshoes on it." XD Lady gaga would probably kill poor Jeeves. :P

  • *Suspenseful thriller music*... "It's got little horse shoes on it." Haha, J & W is classic.

  • the quaver in his voice is lovely

  • *Chuckles heartily*

  • I remember when Bertie and Jeeves were visiting Brinkley Manor in episode 4 I think. Bertie tells Jeeves to bring his white jacket, and Jeeves says he "regrets" he didn't bring the article with them. Bertie then slyly informs Jeeves that he secretly packed the jacket himself, and once again asks Jeeves to put it on him.

Ohhh the LOOK on Jeeves' face when Bertie told him that! It was a look of one who had been painfully betrayed. A classic exchange!

  • Jeeves is beautiful.

  • Jeeves disaproves. The whole world shits itself

  • Dr. House has got a butler!

  • @TheGrangusto He's a valet. A butler looks after the wine-cellar and is the head of the servants. A valet looks after a master and is in charge of his employer's wardrobe and appearance.

  • what's the deal with this butler guy? does he have like a super sense of style or what?

  • It's Stephen Fry... who wears women's hats in his spare time...

  • @Alibi1992 Lords and people of the upper classes in England had Valets whose job it was to dress the lord and keep constant tabs on his wardrobe. Lesser lords and aristocrats had combo butlers/valets like Jeeves is. Also it's a joke that a valet would have a greater sense of etiquette and style than his master so that when he goes out the uppers wouldn't judge him. The greatest joke here though is that his master, and likely others, aren't judging each other's dress but it's the servant class.

  • @Alibi1992 He's a valet. Not a butler. There's a big difference between the two. A valet's chief occupation was the maintenance of his master's wardrobe, so yes, Jeeves would be an officer of the Fashion and Style Police.

  • well i actualy like the hat :/

  • "Gentlemen do *not* wear straw hats in the metropolis, sir."

  • I wear a Stetson now. Stetson's are cool.

  • "I shall be better directly, sir." <3 Jeeves!

  • "Presumably they thought you were a waiter?" Ha Ha. Jeeves - A man of standards or a half-baked snoot? Great clip.

  • I shall be better directly Sir....lol! Love it

  • Jeeves finds your lack of taste disturbing!

  • The black dude was awesome.

  • @corle1 The black woman was better.

  • Just got done watching the entire series, and I just love those little moments when Jeeves shows signs of disappointment ... :P

  • LOL Jeeves always wins those disagreements about Bertie's appearance sooner or later.

  • suddenly I want to drop f-bombs in the classiest way possible

  • Jeeves I'm not going to discuss it any futher!

  • I think Jeeves is gay...and I don't mean Stephen Fry. I mean Jeeves.

  • @Fab4Sunrises With his fashion sense? duh :D

  • And now watching this clip over and over again - didn't know anything could get Jeeves out of his character but he almost seems frightened of the tie with horseshoes on it :D

  • Jeeves' reaction to Bingo's tie is remarkable :D

  • Awesome delivery.

  • The look he gets when he notices the tie is perfect xD between incredulity and disgust xD

  • Jeeves gives the elevator guy the western hat xDDDDDDD

  • ...LOL

  • I know Jeeves is the butler, but I'm not sure who the boss is. Of the two, I don't think its Bertie; although I fancy he thinks that he is.

  • @Hikikomori013 Jeeves, a butler!? *slaps*

Jeeves is valet, which is a very different job. His boss is Bertie Wooster, although yes, it doesn't really look like it, because Wooster is a doofus.

  • @Shangas @Hikikomori013

    A butler serves a household, a valet serves a man :)

Although Jeeves is known to be quite the butler when required

  • @himrawkz Correct on both counts :)

  • @himrawkz a gentleman's personal gentleman

  • @chief294 Indeed. Im going to save up and hire me stephen fry to take the role of jeeves in my life, No expense will be spared!

  • @himrawkz he isn't young and thin anymore so the whole effect would be lost. :(

  • @ellerinsook ah I'll accept and love and nurture him just the way he is...

  • It´d be beyond awesome if Hugh and Stephen continue this show one day.

  • LOL at the tie :) I love that episode.

  • Jeeves is the original Sassy Gay Friend.

  • @LeftyHandedGuns What are you doing, sir? What, what, WHAT are you doing, sir? XD

  • @TheAlexander627 Precisely! :D

  • My son thought that "Jeeves" was only the name of a search engine...

...and, as he is both familiar with "House" and Fry's recurring character on "Bones," this series of clips was a revelation to him.

  • Dear God,

Forget my last letter about the time machine. I'd much prefer a Jeeves instead.

    Many thanks,

    -A Gentlemenless Gentleman.

  • OMG ITS HOUSE!!!!

Just kidding, hate it when people dismiss 95% of Hughs career in Britain.

  • Marvel.

  • I love Jeeves. I love Jeeves with a passion...

  • @billybobnad I would follow his advice to the ends of the earth.

  • "Do you realize I don't get out of my pajamas until 5 in the afternoon and I just put on a sweater like this!"

    "Don't listen, Jeeves!"

    *sound of anguish*

  • "presumably they thought you were a waiter, sir" XD

  • wouldnt it have been more witty, or maybe too cliche if after jeeves said "i only hope the poor creature died a peaceful death" then Bertie sais, "oh the coat", if jeeves then said " no i meant the moustache"

    nah too cliche

  • @corpsemunger

Would have been a great line, but perhaps too much for the butler. They also didn't change anything from the novels - wanted to be 100% true to the original.

  • @Lebowski53 yeh i agree - it doesnt really suit

  • Jeeves' put downs are the best.

  • i love this show very funny great cast just pure class

  • "I shall be better directly, sir." Poor Jeeves! I never noticed the slight tremor in his voice when he says that. xD

Gosh, I love Stephen Fry. He IS Jeeves. And he has that "stuffed-frog" expression down perfectly.

  • I LOVE JEEVES

  • aaah poor Jeeves' nerves are shot by sartorial ignorance and carelessness... would that I had a Jeeves : )

  • I love it when jeeves says when he disagrees wit wooster "very good sir".

  • The way Jeeves backs away upon hearing that Bertie had actually worn the jacket in Cannes is absolutely priceless. It's so rare to have such talents (Wodehouse, Fry and Laurie) intersect as we had in this series. Sigh.

  • Read "Very Good Jeeves"!!! Wodehouse is at his best in that!! (collection of 10 short stories)

  • ok so is jeeves the butler?

  • @1kissbee No... The valet :)

  • @LaSeuleEtoile the valet with benefits???

  • @1kissbee benefits?

  • "It's sometimes difficult just to shrug these things off, sir."

  • Presumably they thought you were a waiter sir. Now look here Jeeves!

  • i should do what i like to my own upper leip :D

  • ...or had been placed there by your enemies.

  • rather snappy, isn't it?

  • OMG, 1:24, he looks like such a pimp! LOL!

  • Jeeves totally rocks!!!

  • Sometimes valets and butlers actually do that sort of thing. If their master has clothes they disapprove of, they quietly give them away.

  • Hahahaha, Jeeves quietly gives the hat to Mister Elevator Man.

  • Oh how I <3 Jeeves! He always got his way in the end no matter what it was over lol! Bertie should have just given up whenever there was something Jeeves did not like!

  • I only hope that the pitiful creature died a peaceful dead, sir :D :D

  • Jeeves is just the greatest.

  • or else placed there by your enemies' --- jeeves is so classy

  • Why is jeeves crying at 2:09 :(

  • The story about the pajamas and the old sweater pains him deeply, poor thing.

  • Hearing that Rocky just wears his pyjamas all day.

  • Because the man he was listening to has horrible taste in clothing. xD

  • I shall be better directly, sir.

  • I love how Jeeves passes off Bertie's hat to the elevator man at 1:25!

  • @endrass46

yeah! that was great, very smooth.

  • ...and WORE it, Sir?!

  • It's sometimes difficult just to shrug these things off, sir.

    Lol!!

  • LOL! He had a nervous breakdown just because the guy stays in his pyjamas.

  • Would have been good to include the part when Jeeves finds the monogrammed handkerchiefs!

  • 2:09 is the cutest thing I've ever seen. I almost died laughing the first time I saw his face buried in his hands. Poor Jeeves.

  • I did the same! Oh dear, gentlemen never dress that way!

  • Why laughing? I think that is sad... I want to go, give Reggie the biggest hug ever and tell him: Don't worry, Jeeves, it's nothing...

  • Good vid splicing! I loved how you did 1:15!

  • OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!O.O lol:D

  • I almost ALWAYS approve of Bertie's 'disappointing' clothes.

    Jeeves would hate me.

  • i say, rather! he always looks v dapper. theres some excellent tailoring for this series

  • Of ALL the bits of this series, one of the FUNNIEST moments, without a DOUBT, is the bit with Bingo Little's horse-shoe tie.

    Classic, amazing comedy.

  • Amazing, considering it isn't a comedy.

  • What would you call it then? Historical drama?

  • I would call it a dramatization, seeing as how these were books at first.

  • True, but the books themselves were meant to be comedies. So that's why I call the series a comedy as well.

  • Let's compromise and call it a Comicial Dramatization

  • An in-depth, thorough examination on why people ship these two.

I love how he gets more bold in his disapproval in later eps.

  • Pure gold

  • "I-It's just, Mr. Little's tie, is uh.... it has... little horse shoes on it."

    ROFL!!

  • ...and the black guy puts the cowboy hat on, smiles, nods and goes on to be a famous Zydeco accordionist.

  • Which episode is 1:53 - 2:15 from? And poor Jeeves!

  • i can't stop watching this over and over and over

  • "..unless it had been placed there by your enemies...."

    Gold!!!!!

  • if a person lives to exactly 80 years of age they would have lived:2515968000 seconds

  • "No mention was made of a carnival?"

  • Aw! Poor Jeeves! I actualy felt sorry for him at 2:10 ! I thought he had finally snapped!

  • 2:11 is quite amusing.

  • "placed there by your enemies"

    lol

  • Heh, Jeeves' angry face at 2:59

  • that expression is quite possibly the best thing i've ever seen

  • wtf! what's Wooster doing with a moustache

  • In Jeeves and the Feudal Spirit (i think thats the one) Bertie grows a moustache, much to the disapproval of Jeeves.

  • @FryConfessesJZMD

he recieved it whilst traveling around america, without Jeeves, obviously! The entire episode once he returned held many a conversation regarding that moustache and in the end Bertie revealed he didn't even like the thing but merely wanted to show who was master! ha!

  • "Or else it had been placed there by your enemies."

Hah, Bertie actually does look like a waiter in it :)

  • Bertie: What on earth's the matter Jeeves

Jeeves: I apologize sir it was inforgiveable of me, i shall be better directy. It's just Mr. Little's tie sir, it has little horseshoe's on it.

    Excellent

  • *laughs* Love how he gives the hat away!

  • i love how when Jeeves notices the horseshoe tie, scary music plays.

  • hillarius

  • 2 of my alltime fav UK actors, nice choice by Michelle :)

  • Wonderful!

  • Jeeves -> Fashion Police

  • Jeeves is the fashion police!

  • I've taken to calling Jeeves "Ultimate Fashion Police" thanks to that comment XD

Seriously, I can't think of anyone else who would double-facepalm like that at the mention of someone angsting about dressing up for dinner.

  • I can't help but wonder how Jeeves would react to today's fashions.

  • hahahahahaha! jeeves is hilarious!

  • at 18 this and the pg wodehouse books changed my life. My radio videos were slightly based on PG Wodehouse's characters as i was reading aunts arent gentlemen at the time. Thanks for uploading this bit of amusing stuff, tickertytonk.

  • Lol! Little horseshoes... XDDD

  • LOL! I love Jeeves. XD The music that starts playing when he sees the horseshoes is epic. DUN DUN DUN!!!! Rofl. Jeeves looked like he was ready to attack Little and tear off his tie, viciously ripping it apart with his teeth. >.> Or it's just me.

  • Very well, sir.

  • Kevin Miley household

  • they must have thought you were a waiter, sir.

    gosh, i love these two!

  • this is deeply rich stuff,,, the two actors are flawless and i still shriek indecorously at the bingo's tie scene...as good as any python, or mr. humphriesage and that's sayin moooooocho

  • Duh, Jeeves isn't a pansy, but it's easier to write body language than it is to act it. Viewers might not notice Jeeves raising his eyebrow by one eighteenth of an inch.

  • But would it be funny?

Remember, always, the rule of funny.

  • Love that scene when Jeeves cries!

    Great Video!

  • It's just Mr Little's tie Sir..... It has horse shoes on it O_o

    DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUR!!

    Hahaha I love Jeeves :P

  • I know... I love the psycho music that plays when he notices it... the horseshoes of DOOOOOM!!!!

  • Bahahaha yeah XD

If Jeeves was Bingo's valet I'm sure he'd have "disposed" of the tie before long, as he does with Bertie's stuff :P

"You can get rid of the hankerchiefs, Jeeves"

"Thank you, Sir, I destroyed them this morning" owned ;)

  • yes, Jeeves' "I destroyed them" calls to mind an image of some ritualistic tie-burning... I bet that's what they really get up to at the Junior Ganymede :-)

  • Lmao blatently XD

All the valets and personal gentlemen's gentlemen meet up every month with sack loads of "unsuitable" attire belonging to their masters... and BURN THEM!

On an irrelevant note, does anyone else think Stephen Fry would make a brilliant Doctor Who?

  • Oh yes, he would be a fabulous Doctor! As would Hugh Laurie too, of course, come to think of it. Perhaps Steven
