Hey, I bought one and in 5 months the lid was broken at both hinges and dell would do absolutely nothing about it. They just sent me from one person to the next until i gave up. What a piece of shit - I'll never buy another dell

Remember that the reviews on YouTube that show 90% of the problems happened during the release. At this point, Dell has worked out the issues and has much better quality control, Dell is not immune to this problem, Sony, LG, Sharp, etc all have some issues during launch ( same for cars etc ) Not happy, request a replacement :) In 30days of course.
What's wrong with expecting a replacement that's perfect like it's supposed to be out of the box? And what's that 'best friend' thing supposed to mean? You're saying the OP has no real friends?
You people know that that counts as a defect and you're allowed to send it back and get a brand new one, right? Probably not now because you waited too long. But at least you'll know for next time.

DELL makes laptops that arent really good quality, that have horrible features, or have great feature but cost like a million dollers! If you didnt know anyway, the m1330 is like the worlds worst laptop! It has horrible quality and the graphics card STINKS! The most you could do with that graphics card is take it out of the horrible laptop and mop the floor with it! Who knows, mabe the graphics card cant even do that!!!!!
The m1330 actually has pretty good graphics. It might not be able to play every game at the highest settings, but it's not designed to do that. It's main features are it's slim profile and light weight. It's an excellent balance between size and performance. There's more to a laptop than just it's gaming performance. Some people actually use them for work. (Really, it's true!)
if its by the hard drive you can fix it. just remove the hard drive (by removing the four screws that hold it in), loosen the screws that hold the handle/bay on the drive and tilt it upwards, then tighten it and put it back in, it'll be a tight fit, so a little force is required.
i haven't encountered the problem on the cd drive side of the laptop, so dont know how to fix it
When millions go to bed hungry every night you shouldn't have to put up with people complaining about their laptops. Like really...look at the big picture. Small little bit of creaking? Consumers are getting way too picky.
you're right we shouldn't be "took picky" but when consumers are coerced into buying the "Next best thing" so as to live this BS called the American dream, they individual should do everything possible to ensure these corporations are held to account.

I bought one last week and it did not do that, he probably droped it.
In general, Dell is a great and solid machine with too many features compared to its price.

Thanks for the heads up on this! My M1330 has this creak on the hard drive side, will likely bust it out and fix it over the holiday weekend.
