Hi i saw this review for the altec-lansing Bluetooth earbuds and I'm happy to say mine are are on their way! I got mine for 49.00 online from Walmart! Seeing in ur review that u got yours for around 65 online makes me nervous that I'm gonna get a lemon of a product, tho! Question: I have a bad habit of laying on my left side and watching movies/ youtube while wearing my last earphones (motorola s7-hd) and those hurt my left ear because of the ear clip Could I have the same problem with the
@utuburocks dude read the manual, you have to press and hold the on button until it flashes blue and red, then you can pair it to any other device, it happen to me before, i didnt know, but i read the manual, thing that i didnt do before and boom, it pair to my devices, bye bye now i hope i helped
After I wqatched your review I purchased the backbeat and more than happy with them. I first listened to music in mp3 format and just wasn't happy. I then listened music in WAV format and was a totally different beast, just wrong for a cheap headset to sound that good. I have some bluetooth cutout problems with htc desire in left pocket, but think htc desire bluetooth is to fault. Turning off htc wifi lessons the cutouts a lot. Thanks
Ihave the Plantronics version of the 903+ and if they are the same item, i would strongly suggest you spend like an hour finetuning the ajdustment of the fit of the Altec,. Once proberly adjusted it makes significant improvement in the sound quality...I love mine even more than my jabra Halo. Pretty good review though...
UGH! Why didn't I see this before I purchased the Jay Bird? The review was very good and exactly what I experienced with the Altec and Jay Bird. I do need to mention something very important and it's water resistance. Jay Bird is the best when it comes to this. I am not even sure if it's a saving grace but for those who would like to work out and will sweat these will hold up. Sadly you'll have to deal with horrible sound and fit. Altec will break with sweat.
great information where the antanna is built in! thank you for that! i had a samsung sbh500 and i typically have my phone in the left front pocket whereas the samsung has its atenna in the right ear piece. that sometimes annoyed the shit out of me... ;)
These headphones are great for just normal use, by this i mean do not i repeat do not use these for working out! Once any little amount of sweate has gotten into these headphones they're pretty much gone!
Hey buddy. You made a great review here there are a just a few things that could be improved on.
Showing several different items at once can be a bit over whelming and the fact that there is a lot of information to talk about means you are on a time crunch. Basically I would suggest a bit more organization, rehearse, use several different cameras, cut afterwards so that you can use both hands, and don't forget to give links to sites that would be helpful.
Dude, I hope U read these, because I am totally impressed. I have found (on eBay) most of the Blue tooth devices, but I don't want to believe the sellers claims of greatness.....I would rather hear about their differences from a critique, such as your self. Thanks.
I'm seriously thinking about buying backbeat 903. But my problem is - what's the quality of the microphone. You see, I'm not only planning to use them with my iphone, I also want to use them with my normal desktop computer. Will the microphone be able to produce a sound quality that's about as good as the one you got from recording in your iphone. (Because I want to make voice overs for amateur films)
Or should I go with the bigger plantronics .audio 995?
i just purchased the s9 hd a while ago and then i saw your review.. i like the hd feature of the s9. so how bout the altec lansing does it have a good base compared to the s9? if they are almost the same probably i'll return the s9 and buy the altec lansing
I have a collection of Bluetooth failures also. You the only one to give a real review with the sound dropping issue. I have the motos , Jaybirds Nokia and blue ant. I was on the fence about the Altec but now Ill pick them up in the morning thanks!
hey I also purchased the altec lansing 903 a couple days ago and mine seem to be a bit too loud...like its much louder in its lowest setting compared to other headphones...is it just me or what??
I'm going to be returning all of them... even the altec lansing... I found the altec lansing backbeats for $65 with $2 shipping, which is altogether less than half of the shelf price i paid for.
looks like youtube won't let me post a comment with url's, so I can't put the link to where i got them from...
Awesome...

there are 2 mics on it actually... one for your voice and the other that picks up the background noise and cancels it out.. works great
dRuEFFECT 2 years ago
Then I'll order them right away, and narrate my movies with them! This I shall!

the bass is acceptable.. the bass on the s9 hd is like nothing ive ever heard before, wired or wireless... so dont expect any close comparison..
