When you beat a videogame boss and it causes the cave / tower / dungeon / city / floating palace / whatever to explode and or fall appart, it's known as a "Load bearing boss". Pretty common trope, if you want to look it up on TvTropes.

I'm well aware of that particular trope. However, it's been used a lot within LPs and I chose not to say it in an attempt to be a bit more original
