the automatic sucks. i have a 2012 foot shift and its awesome, as are all foot shift hondas. but if they came out with a cvt drive id seriously look at it. i want a canam, but dang there expensive.
The honda rancher is a very nice atv I own one myself and it's a little comftable. And i got a question the left brake is back and the right brake is the front
I have a rancher at 2011 with power steering. Love everything about it. Could use a little better top speed and low end power to turn mud tires when it gets sticky but the reliability is top notch. Very comfortable ride with eps
my cuzens honda rancher 420 that is a 2010 modle has been blowing cv joints like nothing and has been in to alot of the shop alot it tore his hole sholder out of socket he could not even drive his truck for 6 weeks because of this quad. I will stick with my 850
@as140672 I have the 09 SRA version. The AT version (IRS) doesn't normally snap cv's like that but i have heard of it happening. You have to remember that it has a manual transmission therefore & unlike a belt CVT you have 100% torque power to the axles from low to high gear. When you rev a cvt based atv even in low gear the front clutch still open up and at high rpm your ratio is ends up at almost 1:1 instead of 5:1 So less torque the the axles.

Gear-on-gear - good, reliable setup. Like their cars, Honda ATVS will outlast almost anything.

Yep---I like the gear tranny for heavy-duty work. CVT transmissions are popular, but I prefer Honda's setup for hard work.
