I enjoyed the clip of someone winning the full $20,000 on "The $20,000 Pyramid." The program did a much better job over ABC Television than it was on CBS Television. The should return with a new version called "The $60,000 Pyramid" in syndication or in assocaition with the ABC Television Network. A Solid 5!! The first guests: Kim Delaney and Andrea Thompson from "NYPD Blue" fame.
You're correct, it is Anita Gillette. She was one of the better players on "Pyramid" during it's first CBS and then ABC run. Didn't see her too much after the move to Los Angeles. Guess she was a New York lady at heart.
Good clues for the last one might be, "a lighted room's wall", and "on and off lights" (to allude without saying turn, which might be buzzed as a synonym), and "a phone operator's board".
The stupid thing that got me with the daytime 70's version was that if you won at the $10,000 level, you were retired. You actually had to lose twice in the winner's circle to even try for $20,000. Now, does that make any sense? You were essentially punished for being good enough to win on the first try. That's just not fair at all. I don't know who's bright idea that was, but at least on Bill Cullen's nighttime version was like the 80's version. First trip to was worth $10K, the 2nd $25K.
A great show that should be out on DVD. Was at its peak when it was in NYC; it somehow lost something when it moved to LA where all the contestants were vanilla.
Anita Gillette is also a darn good singer. I have a tape of tribute to Glenn Miller on PBS back in the 80's where she sang SKYLARK and MOONLIGHT SERENADE at the end. Her singing voice make Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion sound like amateuers. She can really sing.
I am shocked they did not buzz her when she said iris

the timing seems off here. For the last answer, they get up and hug before they turn the last pyramid box over.

@jaydee624 well, the celebrity says 'Yes', telling the contestant she got it right. the guy controlling the box was late.

On and off lights might be borderline as an acceptable clue; they might buzz it for being too descriptive. Other than that, those are good clues.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
For the last one, I would have said. "To turn off a light you need to have this..."

That would have been fine in the regular game, but in the Winner's Circle that is WAY too descriptive and would've been buzzed.

Too bad all of those episodes don't exist. I would have loved to see the ABC $10,000 Pyramid and the transition to the $20,000 Pyramid.
However, all the Cullen $25,000 Pyramid episodes exist...however, stupid Viacom doesn't think Game Shows are good enough for DVD...

19 episodes from the first CBS run exist.

In the 1970s. That kind of money would've bought a couple of nice cars...fully loaded.
