The opening solo is definitely Liam's...his voice is very unique, if you listen to other songs when he has solos...you can tell they match perfectly.

Actually I'm not so sure - maybe Liam's is the one at the beginning; listening to it more it does actually sound like him. I don't really know, I find it hard to tell.

Really? I can't hear Liam's voice in this - only Steven's - i thought his was more dominant. The highest parts are definitely Steven (at the beginning).

I think it's Liam O'Kane and Steven Geraghty.

Very much Liam Okane...you can hear his very distinct voice coming through. Of all the soloist, he probably has the most recognisable voice. His tone is unmistakable. Stevens voice was always perfect...not anything unique or distinct about it, but always perfect. Sort of like the standard that all the rest get judged by.

so liam is the higher soprano and stephen is singing the lower part in the duet?

I believe the opening solo is Steven. The duet solo starts with Liam singing and then Steven joins him in the lower range.

after many many listenings, I do believe you're right! (it helps that I am now more familiar with steven's younger voice) that the duet is liam on top and steven on the bottom.

I'm still undecided about the opening solo, but logic suggests that perhaps it was an older boy - the voice is very focused, with a rich brightness to it.
