@0988497312 yes, a mutch more costly victory for the allies. prettey much nothing the allies had could take out tigers. but then they got air suppremacy, more money, and more producability, not to mention many german factories being nocked out. the tiger is great, but mass numbers, bombs, and artillery still would have eventually won the day

Even today, if a Tiger will appear out of nowere, on most of the worlds battlefields, it would probably be as deadly as it was back then.

@petrwarry72 Well, yes, i do, because not all nations have A-10 , and this tank is just very good. Most small nations even today barely have armored transports and some few cheap tanks. Beside, the german panzer war tactic was almost unbeatable. They lost battles mainly because of the huge number of enemy's they had to face, and the enormous ammount of equipment and resources the allies used . I bet US would face big problems even today against some well trained unit of Waffen SS from WW2 .

@SoimRoman Some of what you say is plausible, but your last sentence is really out there. There is NO WAY a unit of any type from WW2 could stand against even mediocre units of today. Lack of real time recon/intel, soft armor compounds, lack of real time communications, lack of anti-armor firepower...the list goes on of things that keep a WW2 unit from even coming close to what we field today. Their battles moved at a snails pace compared to today.

@Toddinfantry German SF during WW2 did had recon, intel ,radio real time comm and anti-armor firepower. Of course, not by far as good as today. I can not pretend that a Panzerfaust would penetrate the armor of a M1 Abrams, but i was talking about 1/1 firefight, with the equivalent weapons for both sides.

Most probably they can't win, but they were really good soldiers so the fight would not be a walk in the park. That was my point.

@SoimRoman Agreed that with comparable weapons, an SS unit was as well trained as any units today, and could give a good accounting of itself. I thought you were speaking of WW2 era weapons vs. modern.
